I still think there will be very bleak situations especially with the fact Clementine will have to sneak around a lot more rather when you were lee with the ability to take a couple of zombies head on
It would be really retarded by Telltale to make a decision like this if they wouldn't know what they are doing, don't you think so? And even more with the pressure of being GOTY 2012...
Anti-hero might be a stretch. After all, he didn't have to kill the old couple. While I appreciate the "you try to kill us, we take you out" m… moreentality, the old guy's story made sense. He could have put the rifle in the parking lot, taken some food, and driven off.
Either way, I hope he shows up somewhere.
shes not rick, nope thats lee but he dead. shes the carl
Don't even say that. Carl is the most annoying brat I have ever seen! I want him dead so bad... Clem, on the other hand is the sweetest little girl ever! The way that character is written, combined with Melissa Hutchison's flawless performance makes her one of the best characters in the history of media.

I'm pretty sure that we can trust them.
Russel talks about a group where he used to be before being alone, it would be kind of fun if that kid was the girl he wsa talking about and Clem met that group
Remember the "mysterious" image of Clem and another child sitting in the rain? If it's not an urban legend, maybe she's going to lead a kid or a kids' group, before they encounter another group with grown-ups, IDK
I wouldn't say everyone wanted to play Clem (there were people speaking out against the idea of having Clem as the new PC long before it was e… morever confirmed), but the sad fact is, Telltale was going to piss somebody off no matter what they chose to do. They probably felt a lot like Lee when he was stuck in the meat locker with Kenny and Lily. One of them was going to hate your guts before the day was over, simply because neither side could understand (or was willing to understand) the perspective of the other.
First off, I pretty much ignored any screenshots or the trailer images because if you look back at season one, none of the trailers were completely accurate with the episodes. Some scenes just never made it to the actual episode.
As for Clem being the playable character, It's my opinion that we'll play her in a limited basis. Perhaps at the beginning, maybe when she meet's the characters from 400 day's, then we could assume the role of a different character.
I agree that having Clem as the protagonist would limit some of the story, as a little girl she just cannot do some things like hack and slash her way through a zombie hoard as Lee did in EP5, but she sure can be forced to decide whome to shoot or be placed in a decision of who lives or dies, but overall I believe our playing as her will be limited,
One of the main things TTG has and should continue to do is keep true to The Walking Dead world where no one is safe or immune to the horror's that surround them. That said, I really have no interest or desire to see thinks like rape or molestation happen even in this world in a mature game.. Now I agree, in the world of a zombie apocalypse, anything can happen, I just think TTG can come up with enough darkness without having to resort to that.
I would even accept and agree that Clem could easily die in some manner because she is after all just a young girl in this world. Don't forget that most of the adults around her are already dead so Clem's fate hangs by the thinnest of thread's. Although I dont wish this to happen, TTG should just keep true to TWD world where no one is safe.
Overall I am done with these forums and reading speculation.. I truely don't want to know or guess what to expect. I want to sit down with season 2 , Ep1 and expirence it. I want to be surprised and horrified with what's to come, not judge it based on what I think should have been.
I'll peek in at times looking for release date info, otherwise I'll see you all after that!
He's all trouble not listening to what you ask him to do, behaving like a wannabe grown-up. That's the reason I don't think he's cool, but that's just my opinion.

I think this is the one time where so-called "realism" would be a bad call. If TTG were to kill Clem by the end of season 2, I'd be destroyed, but I'd learn to move on and accept Clem's story has reached its conclusion. However, if TTG were to slaughter Clem before the first episode was even over, I'd refuse to play the rest of the season. Clem has been our anchor to this world from day one, and while killing her would be "hardcore", it wouldn't necessarily be good storytelling. Some characters in the WD universe are immune from death to a point, like Rick in the comics and TV show, but we have no idea how long that could last. Nor is Rick immune from the cumulative effect of all the loss and suffering that's been wrought around him.

If the realism was "turned up" from season to season, there wouldn't be any zombies at all, because zombies don't exist.
And how exactly would allowing Clem to live beyond one episode be turning said realism "backwards?" By that logic, Lee should have snapped his neck in the car wreck before he even met Clementine.
Wow. In the comics and tv show the realism is turned up from season to season.
Turning it backwards as you said will in turn send the game backward as well.
I know the decision has been made. Thank you for enlighting me that I am making the same point over and over. I'm sure your aware this is a opinion based forum.
But in my opinion, that's exactly the point! They wrote the story so well that we come to care for some of the character's especially Clem and if something were to happen to her, we would be devistated. Remember the outrage people had when Carely died? Many refused to accept it begging telltale to bring her back. Now do that to Clem. Sure people would be upset, but it's a zombie apocalypse not a childrens fairytale!

Carley was a supporting character from the start. It was a horrible moment when she was killed, but subconsciously we still knew she was a supporting character, even though we didn't anticipate her death.
Now, if TTG had Lily shoot Lee instead of Carley/Doug, you'd have a point. But they didn't, even if they could, because it wouldn't be good storytelling. Likewise, having Clem eaten by walkers or strangled to death by some vile asshole would be great for cheap shock value, but it would wreck the game's lasting appeal even more than resurrecting Carley.

I didn't flame, it's just sad the game story can be messy because clem fanboy/girl want her to never get hurt. Its the apocalypse, shes going to get hurt sometime maybe even killed if the story is realistic.
What's with this talk of rape? I mean I think they won't make Clem get raped, but I guess they will hurt her a lot, specially beacuse manny players have really emotional connections to her and will feel her pain. About the rape I'm really guesisng not, but she being a girl i think that could ba a story, like someone tries to rape her and she has to deffend herself... I don't know the age limit of the game :P
Not a legend. I attended the SDCC panel back in July. The panel ended before Dave Fennoy got up himself and jokingly asked if there was anything to "keep the fans going" until season 2. This prompted a teaser image to be shown of two hooded figures sitting in the rain with Clem's theme playing in the background for 5 seconds, before The Walking Dead: Season Two showed up as a logo. The panel immediately ended thereafter.
there is a faked picture of it on the web, the original had been seen on e3 or comic con (or another convention, don't remember) this summer, … morebut several press representatives (e.g. IGN) said there was such a picture (" Clem and another child sitting in the rain"), yet nobody has ever made a picture of it, unfortunately. This is why I am speaking of a mysterious "legend"
It's rated m, they should have someone try but fail...... because lets be real here. It's evil people in the real world that would try this. So why would they not try it here, in a game.

Episode 3 was by far the most shocking in the death department, but one other big event happened: Clementine’s precious hair got chopped. Vanaman knew it was a big move and was doubtful if people would get behind it
Facepalm.
I hope it's just a joke...
If Telltale actually pondered about something as insignificant as touching Clementine's haircut (this is like the biggest non-issue ever) just because part of the Clem's fan base are so obsessed with this character that they might not like it...
No wonder some of us are concerned the game could somewhat become hostage of Clementine and the most vocal/radical fringe of her fan base.
That's not a joke. Clem fans are really obsessed with her. Some fans didn't even want Lee to tell her how to shoot a gun, as if Lee was the child who needed gun training.
In another thread, someone posted a link to an article about how Clementine was written.

I agree that kind of overprotective attitude is ridiculous (even a little creepy). That being said, it's also easy for people to swing to the other extreme by insisting Clementine should be raped and murdered twenty minutes into the first episode simply because it's "realistic". Turning the game into a piece of non-stop misery porn is just as excessive as having Clem ride away from the zombie hordes on a unicorn.

i think people where just making examples of the possible scenarios that could happen in this season, im pretty sure they weren't requesting a rape scene in the game.

Rick can die at any time in the comics the creator said so. Your just a fanboy/girl of clem.
Do you want to talk, or do you want to flame? Because if it's the latter, I'm really not interested.
The comic book Carl is okay. He gets a bit psyco at some points but, if we are being honest here, only against people who deserve it to some extent.
TV show Carl... meh. I don't hate him, but he's not my favorite character either.
