We were never meant to know what happened for certain in season one with a few characters. I felt it was intentionally written to make players think and draw their own conclusions in those moments. I don't think they were ever meant to be answered as matter of fact. I feel they are only continuing the story of season one because the game did better than anyone could have imagined, but it's the love of the original game that has a good percentage of fans very worried about the direct approach they seem to be taking with season 2. I hope they prove me wrong and create another masterpiece. I'm not very hopeful though.
I would be fine if they killed her off in a tasteful way, or changed how direct her role is in the game after episode one. I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but I'm not in some fringe group of season one fans either. It just seemed like a better and safer idea for the to use new characters in the primary story while giving a little extra info about the aftermath of the main season one characters in my opinion.
Forget the shock value. What makes this supremely unlikely is...well, 'been there, done that.'
We've had our protagonist tragically die on us once. Having protagonist #2 die on us in the end of the second season will make it seem like they're repeating themselves. I have no doubt Clem will undergo trauma of all sorts, but killing her off will just make people think Telltale has run out of ideas.
The comparison between the game and comic doesn't work that well. Season one of the game wasn't written to be continued from what I've seen while the comic was written to continue. That's why Rick didn't die early in the comic. Just as many fans, if not more, will be turned off if Clementine and Kenny are heavily featured the entire season in a way that contridict the deeply felt opinions fans already have of them.
The way I see it. Kill off Clementine and the fanbase will drop dramatically. It would be like killing Rick from the TV-series. What is The Wa… morelking Dead without Rick? In our case, Clementine. In my opinion Lee and Clementine both define the game, and one of them was okay to get rid off, but Clementine? No one could replace our Clementine we've known for so long. Heck, the main reason I pre-ordered Season Two once it got live is because Clementine is in it, and more; she is our protagonist.
Exactly. The reality created in The Walking Dead is a very brutal one. Most die quick and horrible deaths, and most of those who survive longer than average experience horrific loses of family and friends who are often mutilated right before their eyes, extreme torture, violent gang rape, and all kinds sick and traumatic events that ask the question of whether it's worth surviving for the rare moments that show humanity still exist.
Kirkman has already said the world will just get darker, and that Rick will most likely die in the end. The game doesn't have be as extreme as the comic, but it can't make Clementine into a ridiculous Rambo type survivalist either. She is not the comic book or even TV Carl(who hasn't ever survived without adults), and most wouldn't want to see Clem experience the things that damaged and hardened Carl beyond his years. They failed badly in season one of the game when it came to the ending which is why the after credit scene exist.
Why do peopel come here an argue about the game being dark adn getting much worse? I mean that's the point... you want an happy ending you can… more go and play another game...
About Clem dying I don't think that will happen (NOT BECAUSE SHE'S A KID) but because it would be too equal to season 1. I'm not guessing it will end in an happy ending, butkind of a bitter sweet ending

For all their gore and violence, not even George Romero introduced gang rape into his movies. He realized there was only so much nastiness the audience could endure before they would jump ship altogether. This is something Kirkman fails to understand about the appeal of Romero's films, IMO. At the end of the day, they all share the same blatantly fantastical concept, which is the dead walking the earth. Against a backdrop where zombies are consuming the flesh of the living, bringing in sordid real-life horror like rape and paedophilia just comes off in bad taste.
That being said, I do think the end of season 2 should allow a choice where Clementine either becomes the hardened, desensitized survivor we already see in Carl, or continue to walk the path of morality...perhaps at the risk of her own life, but just as I had my Lee refuse to accept this world's hateful terms (instead of shooting Lee, I made Clem walk away), I should be able to do the same with Clementine.
Clem could have a serious injury but her death would be non productive. The whole development of a kid in the world is one of the most interesting things. A serious injury wouldn't be out of the question but her death would be a repeat of season 1.
The way I see it. Kill off Clementine and the fanbase will drop dramatically. It would be like killing Rick from the TV-series. What is The Walking Dead without Rick? In our case, Clementine. This! I'm done with the game if they kill Clem off. Lee's death was necessary, it had a point and as much as I liked him as a character, I would have been dissapointed if he somehow survived. Clem on the other hand, killing her off would be pointless and stupid. She is one of the reasons TWD has become so popular in the first place. Heck, 400 Days didn't even feel like a TWD game because Clem wasn't in it.
I'm sure you have something better to do than sitting here bashing at The Walking Dead fans.
I feel like you didn't experience the game like the most of us did. Which is a great pity.

To clear my record here of your trollish accusations. I own almost all volumes of the comic book series by Robert Kirkman, I follow the TV-series, I own The Walking Dead Telltale fan merchandise. I can provide you with evidence if you'd like that. Clementine is indeed my favorite character in the game series, but overall I am a The Walking Dead fan. Have a good night sir.
if the game is successful enough that we see a season3 and 4, im quite positive she'll eventually die or move away from the group, in season2 i think were going to see Clem grow up from episode1 forward. we saw in the first season how Lee and Clem developed together, so in season2 i expect were going to see how Clem develops into her own character.
I don't think Cem will be bitten, but having her die would be the sensible option - it would clear the way for new characters.
(Speaking of which: Generally when you have a group of people, any new ones that joins are the ones that will die - a redshirt brigade if you want. In season 1, there was a group that joined another, and every single one them except one died - I'm speaking of Omid and Christa (and Clem) of course. That means that the entire first season was played with redshirts, who's only purpose was to die to highlight how dangerous the world was for the actual main characters - Omid and Christa.)
If Clementine is going to be the new protagonist of season 2, what if Telltale is going to make season 2's ending exactly like in season 1 by having a walker bitting Clementine and than she dies?
If they do this then maybe I'll buy Season 3- cause Im definitely not buying Season 2.
Playing the ZA as a 13 yr old girl?? Why dont they just add firebreathing dragons and put Santa Claus and the Easter bunny in as well since we are talking about totally UNBELIEVABLE scenarios. Kill her off or make her the annoying sidekick again. 13 yr old girl cant do anything in a ZA but die.
edit: from looking around the board her age is closer to 9...a 9 yr old protagonist in a ZA. Give me a break.
It would get boring if they decided to just kill off the next protagonist too. At that point they'd go from being poignant to being predictable. I hope that doesn't happen.

What if Clem dies saving Christa and Omids baby.. Or a huge intense zombie chase scene where she ends up trapped and has one bullet left and shes thinks about killing herself and she has the gun to her head, zombies are rushing in toward her, they give you the option and weather you chose to kill yourself or not when you hit A or B. She closes her eyes with the gun held to her head thats when the end credits of season 2 roll. Somehow in season 3 shes saved though.
I'm guessing they won't do that because if you choose to kill her and suddendly she's alive in season3 that takes out the point of your choice matters, but it's not a bad idea for an ending scene appart from that

I'm scared that in the end of the season she'll get trapped in a room by herself and you'll either have the choice to kill yourself or wait it out until she starves and turns into a walker. I only think this since in the end of season 1 Lee tells Clementine multiple times to never get trapped but I think she'll forget through the 2nd season.

You don't actually choose, the options are present on the screen but when you hit whichever button to kill or not to kill the screen goes black so its kinda a one way option without

Oh ok, so you are saying that the option appears but you never see the consequence or hear the gun or whatever? hmmm, I guess it would be a good ideia. I would like it, just don't know if everyone would be ok with that.

If she ever dies, it will not be that way. And we don't know if she's going to be the only playable character on season 2, we might get our hands on the group from 400 days.
How about having her as a permanent protagonist for this game? Not just season 2 but season 3 and season 4 and so on. We get to see her grow from season 1 to when ever the game ends. It would resemble the TV show about how Rick is the main protagonist. But if TT is looking to tell different stories in the same universe then I guess not.

Do anyone know if Clem real father black ? in the picture he looks like lee

No know if Clem real father black. He green.
I guess, she could drown in paint.
The show doesn't end with every protagonist dying at the end. Neither the comic.
they'll kill everybody off in season 2 but clem
Any proof? Don't say stuff like that.
How can it be anything more than speculation when the game hasn't even been released yet?

She won't forget. Here's my proof. Quoting: "She will remember that.". Failproof.
"Carley will remember that" "Ben will remember that" "Kenny will remeber that" "Lilly will remember that" and look where they are right now.
FUCK.
I hope I'm wrong and she doesn't forget
She won't. The last words of someone she loved will never vanish from memory. NEVER.
