TellTaleGames must be using the urban definition of the word "soon"

edited November 2013 in The Walking Dead

TellTaleGames has a interesting literal comprehension of word "soon" when talking about The Walking Dead Season 2 release. They must using the urban definition of the word "soon" defined by Blizzard Entertainment.

Literal meaning of the word "soon"
Soon - in or after a short time.
Example "We will get ice cream soon" implying the ice cream will be available in an instant.

synonyms: shortly, presently, in the near future, before long, in a little while, in a minute, in a moment, in an instant, in a bit, in the twinkling of an eye, in no time, before you know it, any minute (now), any day (now), by and by; informalpronto, in a jiffy.

Urban meaning of the word "soon"
As defined by Blizzard Entertainment: "Soon" does not imply any particular date, time, decade, century, or millennia in the past, present, and certainly not the future. "Soon" shall make no contract or warranty between Blizzard Entertainment and the end user. "Soon" will arrive some day, Blizzard does guarantee that "soon" will be here before the end of time. Maybe. Do not make plans based on "soon" as Blizzard will not be liable for any misuse, use, or even casual glancing at "soon."

  • I hope not. It's intention was to just lighten the mood some in case some folks were frustrated.

  • I hope you're right.. Is it possible that the "before Christmas" they're talking about is December 24? I read it somewhere that Telltale usually release games on Tuesdays and December 24 fall on a Tuesday.. cross fingers

Anyone here ever read the book "Windell"? It's one of those books where the characters are mice. All through the book, the main character (I think her name was Lily or something) asks her parents when her cousin Windell, who was staying with them, is leaving. Her parents just say "soon", all through the book. This just reminded me of that.
