My Idea of Season 1 and 400 Days connect with Season 2.
I think that the 400 Days DLC is currently the end point for The Walking Dead (as written by TellTale), so Season 2 will cover the 300+ days between the end of Season 1 and the end of 400 Days. Sadly the story IMO will not past the 400 Day mark, along with the comic just past the 400 Day mark or is pushing towards 500 Days.
So if Skybound and TellTale works out any new contracts then Season 3+ will be post 400 Days.

Since our choices in 400 days will have an impact on Season 2, I think it's rather unlikely that it will take place <400 days in.
One way I see that 400 Days impact Season 2 is by the player making choices during the 400 Days DLC, and in Season 2 you see it from Clem's POV during the 400 Days.
Maybe it could be the decisions made in the 400 days DLC like who does Vince save or did you kill the bandit in Shel's story that will influence some things Clementine will see throughout the series

But why would they draw clear attention to who goes with Tavia and who stays at the camp?
It could be for Season 3, or maybe the later part of Season 2 (ie Esp 5) is post 400 Days. I just think that most of season 2 will take place before 400 Days, due to the comics.
I doubt they're looking as far ahead as season 3 now.
Besides, Telltale has mentioned that 'Many months' have passed since the end of season one.

I don't think it start post 400 Days, because the player will be playing as Clem, and if there is a big jump then there will be alot of discontent with the player and Clem. So I think the beginning of Season 2 will pick up from the end of Season 1 and possibly the last esp of Season 2 will be post 400 Days. My other reasoning is that (I think) TellTall doesn't want to step on The Walking Dead Comic Book's toe, and that story is currently in the early months of Year 2.
I imagine Clem will stumble upon the camp Tavia finds the people at, and depending on who left and stayed will be who Clem meets there.
