The Walking Dead TV Show Discussion
1) Do you think Hershel will survive the leg amputation?
2) Is there love chemistry between Carl and Beth?
3) What will happen to Lori's Baby?
4) Are those survivors in the prison same as the ones in the comic book?
5) Andrea and Michonne has been fighting for awhile. What kind of sickness do you think Andrea has?
Will they follow the comic or have its own twist?

it seems like they made carl look a lot older and more mature
in the comic book another guy had his leg bitten and when the chopped it off. He died due to blood lost
Hershel has to survive to make sure Lori's baby will see daylight.
Not that much older. He's 12. She's seventeen. I can see him having a crush on the cute older girl but I cant imagine her being romantically interested in him.
I thought it was a fantastic episode. A eally good start to the season.
3) What will happen to Lori's Baby?
I hope the baby will survive. Im really curious to see how they deal with a new baby in this new world. Lets face it, people are going to start having babies again sometime.
4) Are those survivors in the prison same as the ones in the comic book?
I think they are. This episode is the close the show has gotten to the comic since the pilot.
5) Andrea and Michonne has been fighting for awhile. What kind of sickness do you think Andrea has?
It could be anything at all. Michonne will pull her through. They're having their own girl version of a bromance from the look of it.
I think Lori's baby will be born ok, but I'm curious to see if the kid (named Judy in the comics) will survive the Woodbury attack. I think it's a possibility.
Pretty sure the prisoners are the same ones from the comic. The big dude reminded me of Dexter, and the one with the gun looks like he could be Axel.
WTF is up with the armless jawless zombies on chains? Is there some sort of reason for those or are those two women just Psycho's Rick is going to have to eventually shoot?
You must be new to the show. The two women are Michonne (who has the zombies on chains) and Andrea (the blonde who is sick). Andrea is an original member of Rick's group but got separated from them last season and ran into Michonne who is new to the show.
The walkers on chains are to keep other zombies from attacking her by masking her living smell with their dead ones. She also seems to be using them as pack mules to help carry supplies. Its explained in the comic.
ahh ok, been a while since i saw last season, i've enjoyed the game a lot more so i pretty much forgot those.
I'll have to forego the comic explanation, I have no interest in that. It should get sorted out in the show though I guess.
I think Hershel will survive, I agree with 8bit... Lori and her baby need him so he'll probably be around for at least a little while longer. Dale survived without a leg, so can Hersh.
I definitely think there's something going on between Carl and Beth... It'll hopefully just be a bunch of flirting though... don't think I wanna see some little kids getting romantically involved or have some sort of dramatic break up. That'd take away from the story for me.
Pretty sure Lori's fears of the baby being born dead (or undead) might be legit, I just can't see them taking the same route as the comics with this one.
Probably the same inmates, maybe different personalities or story lines but they're still going to be creepy/crazy enough to cause problems.
Common cold? Pneumonia? Influenza? Extreme allergies? Dunno for sure but it's probably something that wont last too long... 3 episodes tops.
I don't think so. I think once bitten, you are immediately infected. It's a matter of time.
I think its a simple infatuation between the two.
I think it will survive. This is what will bring Rick and Lori together.
I can't say...never read the comic book versions. But I am surprised those survivors havn't done the same type of slaying/cleaning up.
Probably ammonia...they went through a winter cycle from what I gather.
She probably will get medical care soon.
2.Carl and Beth, their age gap is a little big, aren't they?
3.After suffering for such a long time,Lori is deemed to lose her baby, but before that, they need to kill her baby in case of he transforming into zombie and rip her from inside out
4. it's different,TV shows don't like to conform to same thing appeared in comic
5. Michonne was pregnant before, but she made up her mind to discard it,that's why she looks ill
2. Carl and Beth was more to give a little ray of hope. Some of the show fans commented that the show is extremely grim and depressing at times, so I think they wanted to add some brief rays of sunshine before the horror really continues.
3. No idea.
4. I think Hershel is taking the place of Dale from the comic. They want the tv series to be different enough that comic fans will still watch it, but not too different.
5. My guess, Andrea's got a cold that has mutated into Bronchitis and possibly Pneumonia. She will need Antibiotics.
#6 My guess is Andrea meets back up with the group when she joins that Militia Leader for a brief time, and they attack the prison. I think she will be instrumental in helping the group.
Hm, interesting. I was under the impression Kirkman worked on that...
His bio on AMC site seems to confirm that as well.

The show is gaining viewers each season. Its at 15 million views compared to 10-12 million last season
Im still holding out hope that we dont lose Hershel. They need him. He wont be around for too much longer than this season, though. If they need to abandon the prison, he wont be able to run on one leg as fast as they need to to get away from walkers.
Now that you mention that, I HOPE they don't turn Andrea into Lilly in one big scene on the attack at the Prison.
its going to be completely different
He may survive it since we don't have Dale in the show anymore.
true we can't be sure since its really different
Great episode Sunday night. Maybe the best of season 4.
Just so you know telltale doesn't make the walking dead television show.... Lol.
I'm glad to hear they finally had a good episode, I can't wait to watch it later!
Yes Carley. I know. I just wanted a polite way to bump this thread to the top.
Yea it was one of my favorites. I have been very critical of the episodes since season 1. I personally thought the production value per episode went down too much. Season 1 had a large budget per episode and 6 episodes. I really enjoyed the sweeping city views of the dead and large scale.
Season 2 until now has seen AMC scale the budget per episode back dramatically and adding additional episodes to the season to milk their cash cow.
It is the single biggest reason Frank Darabount was fired after season 1. He wanted the budget per episode to stay the same BUT AMC wanted 7 additional episodes for season 2 for a total of 13 episodes at the same cost as the entire season 1.
The budget per episode was slashed in half for season 2.
