It looks like clem may of been bitten in one image, she is holding her shoulder!! I'm freaking out, they can't kill her off that early!

  • Your most likely right, but Telltale will take characters away like that.

    LOL! No.

  • Unless Telltale wants the fans to hate season 2's guts for killing off Clem so early and say goodbye to the Walking Dead, I don't think they are going to kill her off.

  • She probably just got shot, or got cut by some exposed sharp object coming from a wall or something.

  • True! I'm just wondering if their going to end her like the way they ended Lee. Or maybe she'll just be a badass zombie slayer who we will follow all the way up to adulthood

  • Yeah I bet your right

  • I really doubt it there would be no reason to repeatedly kill protaganists

  • I doubt it. People would get really upset if they just killed Clem out of nowhere.

  • It would be like killing Norman Reedus's character in the TV Show so no, not gonna happen.

I highly doubt Telltale would give us the same ending over and over again. This is one of several reasons that make a game bad. Season Two will be all about how far we're willing to go to survive. Expect very tough and difficult choices that will test your mind about survival and moral. But no, they won't kill another protagonist unless they want to put a permanent end to the game-series. Without Clementine there is no The Walking Dead; That's why we could slightly accept Lee's fate as Clementine still could carry the story. Imagine what it would look like if both Rick and Carl died in the TV-series/comics... And as I said, Telltale have to deal with thousands of angry and disappointed fans world-wide. Don't worry, she probably just cut her arm. The wound might look bad, but she can still use her arm as she carries the hammer with her wounded arm. I bet this wound will be the introduction to Season Two - She gets help by the stranger from the cabin seen in the background who later patch her up and we'll be on our way. :)

I wouldn't use the word "badass". She's a human, and not like the characters you find in the TV-series. They didn't try to show Lee as a badass in Season One, they showed him as being just "some guy" trying to do the right thing. He had feelings and a personality. Clementine will still be our old Clementine we saw in Season One in her personality; Shy, reserved, nervous, and frightened. Perhaps a bit more confident since we last saw her.

  • Clementine will die in the first five minutes of Episode 1 of Season 2. In a horrifically grisly fashion. Then we'll play the rest of the season as Becca while the writers laugh and laugh.

    Because Telltale hates money.

  • The sarcasm felt like a kick in the head. Haha. xD

  • Why would Telltale kill Clem in Episode 1? It makes zero sense to kill the announced main character, ESPECIALLY one as beloved by the fanbase as Clem, at the very beginning of the story. This would be like if Luke had been killed by the Sand People when looking for R2. You would have the rest of the move (or game, in our case) without the lead character.

I'm sure that injury looks worse than it actually is. She's still managing to hold that hammer (pretty heavy for a kid) and I don't think Telltale would be silly enough to show any hint of Clem dying in the teaser images for Season 2.
Also gotta remember that these images might not appear in the final game. A whole lot of stuff appeared in the announcement trailer for Season 1 that never made it to the final game (a shot of the group sitting around a fire springs to mind). Even some screenshots on the Steam page for Season 1 weren't quite how they appeared in the final game (like these two)

  • No cause of screenshot in Photobucket I saw and it has tittle of clemchapter3screen

  • Agreed, I don't think Clem is going to be killed in the game in chapterone or other, since they killed Lee in season 1 ro they'll not kill the protagonists again in my opinion ;)

There are no happy endings in The Walking Dead and anyone can die. I wouldn't be surprised if even Rick would die in the last issue of comic book (although I doubt that Kirkman is willing to end it anytime soon).

  • I don't think Telltale would want to end the game-series anytime soon either.

  • I doubt Telltale has the balls to do it, but it would be a brilliant move. It would completely subvert expectations and send a message that no one is safe, ever. It kind of reminds me of Metal Gear Solid 2, where Konami built the marketing around Snake, only to have you play as a new character for the vast majority of the game. It ended up being a blunder, because most fans hated the new character. If the replacement for Clem wasn't equally likeable, it would be a disaster. But this is Telltale. They have the best writers in the industry.

  • It would be a really risky move on telltale's part, but where would you go from there. If they kill Clem, I have no doubt that they will make a fantastic game out of it that I will enjoy (read: feel miserable while) playing. But where would they continue the story from there. Killing Clem would kill the meaning of season, that Clementine can beat this world.

Is it possible for them to kill Clementine? Yes. But I severely doubt they will. Having said that, I have no doubt lots of other characters will die. Hell, the only group member confirmed alive is Clem, three of them have unknown status (Omid, Christa, and Lilly), and Kenny is presumed dead. Everyone else is confirmed dead.

  • It wouldn't necessarily mean that the series end. Clem is going to be seventh playable character in the series so far. Who is to say that there won't be eight.

  • This. By killing off Clementine, it would throw Lee's redemption in the trash and all our work in season 1 aswell.

  • One thing I do know is..there not carrying her into adulthood not unless they age the tv series and comic just as much. All three take place around the same time and if it shows Clem in her 20's we will see the tv series and comic go up by 10 years.

  • In my mine right now, Hell no, If Telltale took Clem out of the picture who would take her place?
otherwise it might suck if they did!

  • No, she's the protagonist! She probably got shot or cut.

  • You not only stole the discussion I started but also got more views and comments :(

  • I'm honor bound to give you props for using a .gif from BASEketball.

  • The protagonist from season 1 would like a word with you...

No, she's the protagonist! She probably got shot or cut.

  • Don't you play as a grown clem ?

  • that was the stupid why would you ask that telltale would not kill her off like that

  • The tv show spawns much more time then the comics does. Lots more.
