I think Bigby will interrogate his suspect (Dee or the Woodsman), and they'll eventually give up what little they know about Faith. This will lead him to her pimp, Georgie Porgie. Bigby will question him but he'll have nothing to go on.
Meanwhile, at the brothel he will discover Beauty stripping to help support herself and her husband. This will lead to the altercation with Beast later on. Beauty will give Bigby information about one of the strippers who has gone missing - Holly's sister.
Ichabod refuses to allow Bigby to follow up on the disappearance of a poor Fable from the wrong side of town, but Bigby ignores him.
Bigby will team up with Holly and go on the trail for her sister, in case she's another victim of the serial killer, and as a means to get some dirt on Georgie. Eventually they find her decapitated body under the Brooklyn Bridge.
Georgie summons some mob goons to take out Holly and Bigby. This pisses off Bigby so much that he loses control and transforms into his wolfman form, before seeking refuge at Toad's place.

If he interrogates Woody it sounds like there is a planned rebellion against the Fabletown government and Beauty/Lamia is a part of it. Either way Bigby finds out where Faith worked. Bigby suspects Georgie Porgie is a killer.
Bigby talks to Beauty/Lamia and tells her that Woody hit Faith which makes Beauty/Lamia furious and threatening to kill Woody. Beast either runs in or waits outside when Bigby tries to arrest Lamia/Beauty to protect Woody. Bigby and Beast fight while Lamia escapes to kill Woody. Bigby ends up looking for Holly's sister to appease the situation. Woody dies near Toad's place and the blood is very fresh and Bigby changes form to find Beauty.

the interrogation of Dee/Woodsman will lead Bigby in a completely different… more direction than he is headed now

We might have already seen the killer if you have very good and quick sight.
It won't lead you in the wrong direction, but you will get sidetracked.
You obviously forgot about everyone in the Woodlands Luxury Apartments building and Colin.
