You can try if deleting the SyncFs folder from
    C:\Users\jerome\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead\SyncFs
    helps.

It's also possible that it just takes a few minutes to start when it looks for updates.

  • Strange thing no loading frame indicate that it will load something but after few minutes (+-3) it will be continue and the game menu load.

  • I bought and downloaded the game from Steam, and got the same message. Here's my support data file:

Faulting module name: DINPUT8.dll, version: 6.2.9200.16384, time stamp: 0x5010a805
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Fault offset: 0x0000ff7f

On Windows 8 the game crashes if joysticks/gamepads are connected. Most likely something similar is happening with your gaming keyboard. That bug is fixed in Windows 8.1, available for free in the Windows 8 Store.
If you don't want to upgrade yet, you can try an unofficial workaround. In short, by downloading and extracting this zip file, and copying the dinput8.dll next to the WalkingDead101.exe, you should be able to use the controller normally. Make sure you delete that dinput8.dll after updating to Windows 8.1, to avoid possible problems in the future.

  • I am having issue with episode 3 season 1 not loading on my iOS ipad. It keeps saying that there is no internet connection yet every other episode has loaded just fine.i would like to either have this fixed ASAP so I can play episode 3, or I want my money back!

  • I just downloaded season 2 on my iPad and it's saying there is no save file for season one and trying to prompt me to buy it (even though I already beat it thoroughly) I never reminded while playing the game or anything like that. I don't know what to do :( I really don't want to play with randomized choices!

  • Oh my God. Thank you soooo much. I've been trying for almost 3 hours just to launch the game. So I really really thank you. :3 :*!

I apologize for any difficulties this has caused. Please try renaming the prefs.prop file in

    D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\The Walking Dead\Pack\WalkingDead103

to prefs.prop.bak to disable it, and then restart the game. Your saves should then return to the correct state.

Install seems to go well on a Windows 7 PC. Load game as administrator - no luck. Black screen, then white screen flash, then black, then WalkingDead Exe101 fault. Every. Time.

After looking over your Support Tool information, it seems that your computer is running below the minimum system requirements to run the game successfully. Where we require a minimum of 512mb of dedicated memory, your computer is currently running at 128mb of dedicated memory. I recommend updating your current graphics card's drivers to the latest version, and see if you are able to then play.

I apologize for the delayed response, unfortunately the link you have provided seems to have been already deleted. Could you possibly upload the Support Tool again? Also, can you please clarify the exact issue you are experiencing?
