I love Telltale
I'm really not 100% on-board with the direction the company is going, but I won't deny that they're pretty damn good at what they do (even if it's not the sort of games I want to play).
As for caring about what people say... I really don't wanna go into that. Whole can of worms just waiting to be opened there.
No. That is the long and short of it; they are however best in their genre, which is 'games as seasons released over an extended period of time'.
But they are also the only one in that genre.
No.
They're a very good game company, though.
I don't know about best, but they are together with Paradox Interactive my favourite game company.
They used to be, man. They used to be.
Wowow...
Snobism detected!!! (Just kidding...sigh)
What I want to say is that we shall be positive about the future about Telltale Games. They found their niche in the game industry and are doing their job amazingly well!
I guess, what you mean is that they "lost their original spirit" (OMG it looks so similar to Apple fans after Jobs...#sadthoughts) This sometimes happens to companies, but I am pretty sure that they will be able to analize market and sales and make right decisions basing on that.
So, lets just be optimistic!

I'm with you on their games (though, admittedly, I haven't bought "The Wolf Among Us" yet), but the company itself used to be much more open, friendly, and approachable. I think I'm just bitter that Telltale Tuesdays disappeared. That, and the fact that we never got the Sam & Max Season 3 Soundtrack.
Oh...! Now I get what you are talking about!
The problem is (really small problem...) that I am not common with their culture (shame on me!)... The first game of TTG I played was Bone and as I found out it was their second actual game (Wow...I am so old)
Looks like you know the situation better than me (sigh) and as I can see, TTG came to a pretty difficult stage in their company evolution...Fame!
I find it really important for companies not to forget about their fans in such period. Yes, they have more stuff to do, yes, they have much more serious people to meet, but they shall not forget that their fans and gamers around the world brought them there. (So much pathos...;))
I hope that Telltale Games will overcome this (because they can!) and will not turn into soulless giant that produces a lot of crap (there are these companies nowadays, that ended like that...) just for money, but will follow their ideology!
Anyway, these were just my personal thoughts...)
I am sure that Telltale Games still loves us!

I don't think TTG have forgotten about their fans. They've just forgotten to communicate with them.
Yeah, sounds legit,...
I think we shall stop at this point, play games, support TTG and hope for the best! (feling like a preacher...)

No.
I don't think that they are the best games company in the world but they are definitely leading this genre at the moment.
They had me hooked with Tales of MI and the Sam and Max games (I remember them from my childhood)- albeit they were limited platform releases. BTTF was good but not on every console. TWD was amazing and I've really enjoyed TWAU.
As for direction in the future, I don't quite see where they will go.
More zombies? More fairytale fantasy?... and this uncertainty doesn't sit well with me. And that affects confidence. I KNOW the game build quality will be tops but as far as game/story/subject appeal, I just don't know.
Maybe a step backwards to a classic will prove to be the next step forward? It would definitely bring the old gamers along with it and make them feel like they haven't forgot about them.
Communication is a big thing for me. Telltale could do it better. Either through press release or greater more informal activity on their blog. Double Fine productions do a good job of this.
I want to feel like a friend of Telltale and not just a customer.
THIS.
Well they are not perfect, but then again no company is perfect, not even Valve. I would rate Telltale pretty high on my list, they have created fantastic games and are much nicer then EA and other large company's. yeah they are pretty much tied for my favorite game company along with Irrational Games.
I think we can at least all agree that Telltale Games is a company.
But do they know how much 80 dollars is?
The amount they spend on voice acting.
I can only agree that it is a really weird line of comments that do not make much sence
Sorry, guys, but it looks like this...
They gave me back Monkey Island, when I thought it gone forever. They can do no wrong in my eyes.
Seriously though that does earn them a lot of good will from me and my loyalty for the forseeable future
