Favorite Scene???
Since S2 is coming out soon, and when it does there will be very less discussions on season 1, so before s2, I'd like to know which scene did you think was the most memorable one. IMO, the gauntlet scene (when Lee had to go through a crowd of zombies to reach the Marsh House) was truly awesome and was Lee's most badass scene.

My favorite was when Kenny decided to save Christa ( If you killed Ben ) , when the music started and he jumped off , pulled her up and yelled : save her, you fucking hear me ?

My favorite scene was when Lee said: "I'll miss you" to Clem. Totally heartbreaking!
That one sentence was so powerful, I shed tears before Clem even started to aim at Lee. Manly tears of course.

Although I loved both of the other scenes mentioned, my favorite scene was probably the one where Lee is going to save Clementine at The Marsh House and has to battle his way through the horde of walkers. The music complemented it perfectly and it gives me goosebumps every time.
The office scene in episode one when Lee and Clem talk about their parents. It was the first development of their relationship, and I loved the writing. The music was powerful, too.
My favourite scene was in Episode 2 when Lee went upstairs and discovered a bit. Then as he found Mark legless it went trough my bones seeing him like this. It was not a sad or funny scene but it was disturbing.
Oh where to begin on this one.
One of my favorite scenes was in the attic in episode 4, when Lee or Kenny kills the zombified child. Whoever directed that scene did a fantastic job. It showed just how broken Kenny was.
My favorite scene, or let's say the situation I realized I totally fell into this game like in no game before, was in Episode 1, outside the drugstore, when Lee was confronted with his brother. The music was so atmospheric, eerie and unsettling, as well as the whole situation (what's the name of this track, btw?). I also enjoyed the office talk between Lee and Clem very much. There are so many great scenes in the entire season. The stranger scene was also very memorable.
I hate this question because there are so many great scenes to choose from! If had to pick one point, though, it would be from after having Kenny stop the train up until they deal with Duck. To be able to barely make him come around and accept his son dying.... then BAM, his wife goes too? You can practically see him die inside during that scene. Hell, I died inside a little too. I was thrown into a permanent depression for the rest of the Episode.
The final part of episode 5, surprising nobody referred to that one yet. It's not just the sad scene that occurs at the very end, it's the events that occur before it, where Lee's struggling to walk, is losing all of his strength and then proceeds to give te player control to try and get Lee back up on feet, twice. It really shows how the infection is taking it's toll on Lee and i when i first gone through it, i was incredibly worried and started begging in my mind for Lee to survive, somehow, anyhow.
This is less of a scene and more of an entire segment, but my favorite scenes are from episode 2, all the way from Mark being revealed to have his leg chopped off for food to the fight between Lee and Andy St. John and the sad scene that occurs after it. It's a really damn tense part of the game, one after another, and i love it.
I loved the scene when Lily shot Carley.. my favourite killing my second favourite. Haha, and I loved it when she stole the RV

I can't say Carley is my favorite (Brains over Brawn: Doug Rocks!) and I prefer Lily for survival priorities, but come on, the murdering of another human being is your favorite? Kind of sad how overboard Lily went when * SPOILER ALERT * Kenny killed her Dad, and she literally had nothing else to lose, causing her to go down a dark path.

This question is a toughie since there's so many amazing scenes in the game. :P But, the two scenes that were the most memorable to me are when Duck died, and when Lee was saying goodbye to Clementine. Those are the two times I bawled my eyes out while playing through season one.
Hoo boy. Like most above, I think there are way too many awesome scenes to choose from. However, my favourites are Chapter 7 of Ep 5 (obviously) and the Shawn/Duck scene in Ep 1. That was when I first got a feel for what this game was going to be like. I also loved Doug and Lilly's confrontation (critically, because of the emotion. I hated it when it happened, of course)
I liked The Guantlet and see it as one of the more depressing and emotional moments in the game. It felt like an act of desperation just reenforcing how bad the situation had become. They really screwed up Kenny's "sacrifice", and made his actions out of character and confusing. Lee wasn't able to respond in the obvious manner either whih didn't help. Since Lee is obviously close to death and Kenny was gone my goal of getting Ken aand Clem together before dying fell apart. That's what made The Guantlet feel like an act of desperation. It was pretty depressing considering I never saw Clem being old enough to survive alone, and I had no more faith in Christa and Omid surviving from what I knew of them. Omid had been laying in a bed for the majority of time you him, which is just 5 or 6 days in total.
My favorite scene would have to be... the showdown between Lee & Andy. I spared him, it was empowering to have his life in my hands after he pretty much lost all hope. Him pleading for me to finish it as I walked away was just... wonderful!
The Best scene to me is ben yelling a Kenny in Episode 5 and Kenny finally forgiving him. If you ask me the best way to play is having Kenny save Ben, The writing is so excellent and it is so amazing to see kenny forgive Ben that much
People have covered most of the best scenes, so I'll go off track a bit and go with the scene that sold me on buying this game.
When you first arrive at Clem's house, and you listen to the answering machine. The voice acting is very well done, the music is perfect, and the fact that it allows you to carry one with what you're doing really puts you into the environment. Then the game takes over with a beautiful camera push into the answering machine as Clem's terrified mother desperately tries to protect her child in whatever way she can. "Baby ... if you can hear this. Call the police. 9-1-1. We love you ..." Within the span of 45 seconds, you had heard the world go from peaceful, to horrific. Even though you didn't "see" the world fall apart, you felt like you had experienced it. It was a haunting introduction into this new world.
It was during the scene (in the demo) that I decided I HAD to buy this game.
If you take Clementine with you to the school, she kills the zombie attacking Mollie herself (if you fail). I was impressed. She saves Molly and she shows potential in that scene. After that, I knew she would be okay, when Lee died.

I loved the head in the bag in ep5. Shows you what can happen to people who aren't brave enough to let go. Absolutely terrible and chilling, but in a twisted way a little bit romantic.

When Kenny goes after Ben/Christa ( it depends on what you choose ) and saves them. Kenny the hero!

I really loved the entire ending of Episode 2 from where they escape the freezer to the end, but I'd have to say my favorite part was when Andy says "Just you wait until momma and Danny get out here, Lee!" and then Lee has the option to say "They're not coming....." then "What did you do..? What the f*ck did you do?!". I feel like that is a really powerful scene and then when Lee walks away and Andy is still yelling "Get back here and finish this Lee! Lee! Lee.... Lee...." desperately wishing Lee would come and kill him before the walkers, because he has no reason to live anymore without his family.
Lucky Carley. I wanted Lee with Lilly.
Ha! I almost forgot how cinematic that scene felt.
So many great moments in this game, it's impossible to choose one. I absolutely love the final scene as a whole, right from the top with Clem and Lee in the jewellery store. I love the direction, the photography, the voice acting... Very very powerful. From that first shot of Lee on his back with Clem begging him to "wake up", when you get to see him so weak and obviously dying and in that moment even the last glimmer of hope you might've had that they could be alright is completely destroyed. And how completely helpless you feel throughout the whole scene, unable to do anything but speak to that little girl that you've been protecting all along, hoping that you've taught her well and she'll be alright. And of course the very last moments they had together. Very emotional but not cheesy or overdramatic. I love how the music is sad but simple, and you can still hear the walkers faintly, a constant reminder that they're there. I was a mess at the end, definitely.
Apart from that one, I found the scene with the starved boy in the attic very beautifully made, especially that first shot of Kenny kneeling before the setting sun coming through the window.
That sentince is why in my opinion the walking dead is one of the best games of all time. it stirs emotions in ways you would never think about. i cried at seeing the end of this wounderfull man and i have a heart of stone
