BIGGEST DECISION EVAH! :)

edited December 2013 in The Walking Dead

I am pretty sure that this thread has been posted some time ago but I'm just curious what did you choose? I choose to leave Lee and told Clem that shooting people changes you. What do you think are the impact of this decisions on Season 2?

Comments

  • I told Clem to leave lee and not shoot him

  • Oops, sorry. I'll edit it just for you. And by the way, I'm no dude. ;)

  • I've played it a bunch of times, and i told her leave Lee, shoot lee, shoot lee. And i haven't decided yet for my current play through.

  • So which one are you planning to use for Season 2? I'm planning to use the one when I chose to leave Lee.

  • LOL that will take your time until episode 2 will be released ;p

  • Good for you. I can't be as patient as you

Exactly! I'm doing this 4th one to bridge until Episode 1 S2.

  • I told her to shoot Lee, because it would make her stronger(emotionally), and also because I didn't want her to have to see Lee looking all sick and depressed for any longer, and because I wanted her to remember that she took action to put her friend/surrogate father out of his misery instead of leaving him to rot(Well.. you know what I mean).

  • Nah, I completely understand you.

    Yeah. Sorry.

  • Okay cool.

  • "Don't waste the bullet."

  • I chose have Clem shoot Lee, it's the better decision because it keeps Lee from Turning and then makes Clem stronger because she now knows how to take the initiative and make the hard decision.

  • Monkey wrench. Big and heavy. Spike remover was tempting too, when Lee said it would crack skulls just fine.

  • I had her shoot Lee. As sad as that is, I figured it would be sadder for her to leave Lee to turn into a walker like her parents. At least this way, she knows Lee will not be a threat to anyone and he will be at peace. And as someone else already mentioned, it teaches her how to take the initiative in making a decision. I would only hope that my "Nice Guy Lee" would help her make those decisions with a moral core behind it, but that's how I made the choice.

  • Is it bad that I don't remember!?

Not sure if I wanna take the time and replay everything as a refresher.

  • I had her shoot Lee. I think that she knew it was an act of mercy after just seeing her walker-fied parents. I don't think it would sit well with her knowing that Lee would remain a walker chained to a radiator for the rest of time (I don't think walkers can starve in the game). Sort of the same way that Lee freed his walker brother from a trapped existence.

  • Not really.. :p

  • I don't know, but I couldn't get myself to tell Clementine to shoot Lee. Mainly because I'm afraid what it'll do to her in Season Two. I don't want her to get used to the thought of killing people. Like Lee said, people can't start giving up. But Clementine's expression when looking back at Lee before going out the door still haunts me today.

  • Oh yeah, I think she'll feel guilty leaving Lee on Season 2.. Especially when you chose to kill Duck. Just my two cents.

  • I said her to keep the bullet. Dunno, i thoght that walker-lee on a chain is no threat and there's always one bullet you miss.

  • I had her shoot Lee too. I didn't want to but I figured it was better than seeing Lee become a zombie and would also helped Clementine grow/more prepared for future decisions she may have to make.

  • He did(after trying to kill Lee at the end of Ep1, of course), but Lily was there... and Clem was there... so, that's why so many people tried not to kill Larry- also the philosophy of 'If I save his life, maybe he will start to treat me better and appreciate me'.

My last wish as Lee was to die a man.

For once (the very only time in the game) I didn't really think of what was best or easier for Clementine : after all the selfless actions I did in order to protect her, comfort her, save her life ever since the beginning, after all I did for her, I had a last wish for myself -a clean death- and I think I deserved it. Clementine owed me this one single little thing.
(And I also thought this was the best thing for her anyway, for her mental health and safety)

Also I like to think that in this world where you can't really believe in anything anymore, where moral obligations often conflict with survival necessities, people should have at least one rule : don't allow people you love to turn, actually always try your best to prevent all the people you can to turn (only exception : if preventing the other to turn would cost you your life).

That's also why I shot the woman in that street when me and Kenny prepared to enter the pharmacy.

This is my only religion as a zombie apocalypse survivor, my one sacred commandment and I will continue to live by this rule as Clem in S2 : thou shalt not let your neighbor turn.

  • I've played more than once and did both. Interested to see how both decisions will play out later.

  • I had her leave me. I was literally just worried about the zombie horde outside hearing the shot and surrounding the place before Clem could get away. I wasn't a threat to anyone, staying quiet gave her a better chance at survival, and bullets are a precious commodity.

Honestly, I had this gut wrenching fear that shooting me would have caused the walkers to come crashing in and we would have died together. Or, leaving me still would have resulted in her not being able to get through the horde and we died together. Yep, I was afraid it was going to be one of "those" endings.
