  • Seeing this image just makes me happy :D

  • Where is Kenny

  • At least we'll get closure on what happened to Christa and Omid after their disappearence. I'm satisfied with the screenshot.

  • That's really exciting !

i'm already starting to fantasize about how things went to lead to this screenshot. Maybe the group of 3 took shelter at Gil's stop because Christa couldn't move anymore due to her pregnancy and Omid & Clem had to take on the role of scavengers to find whatever they'll need for her and the baby.
That would make the Season reveal trailer relevant because it could be that Omid & Clem got seperated after a failed attempt and she finds herself alone in the woods after that. Maybe she'll then find Tavia's group and convince Omid&Christa to go there as well. The people we managed to convince from 400 Days could help you if Christa can't walk, and if you didn't convince enough people it could happen something bad on the road ....

Geez so many possibilities ! Can't wait until I can play this second masterpiece.

  • I just noticed; it seems the graphical style has been cleaned up a little?

Anyway, I don't put too much weight in this: Omid and Clem are alive - well, kind of expected since neither are seen going down in season 1 and because (unfortunately) Clem is apparently the protagonist we'll (be forced to) play.

But the most important part here is missing: a release date. That is frankly the only thing I care about.

  • Agreed, but more news are "teased" to be coming tomorrow. And the whole Clementine as protagonist, jeez. I do have trust in telltale and believe they will make it work and such but i'd much much rather play as Omid, Christa or Kenny. And i don't even like Christa, but playing as a kid just feels wrong for this game. Kirkman has several times in his comics tried to do something that involves Carl being all alone and be forced to do things his own way and it just gets weird.

To anyone who read my original unedited post, I apologize. I'm just really exhausted with all this waiting...

  • I'm glad TellTale isn't listening to you people who love to hate Clementine. I down-voted this comment as soon as you started acting so harshly. You don't always need to play as an adult male to have a good game. Deal with it and quit whining because you don't get to play as the stereotypical, cliched "badass" that you thrive to be.

  • Love to hate, yeah no. I cared for Clemetine and did everything in my power to protect her and to be wise about telling her that her parents might not be what she expects them to be and such. But the whole thing that can get in my path is like, remember all the times as Lee when you had to use force to move something or whatever, playing a kid will make you feel weak, like you are not able to do regular things. Now this would normally not be a big deal, there's many games where this is the whole idea, that you are forced to things a whole other way, the difference however is that this is during the zombie apocalypse, things are as problematic as they can be already. Being locked up with having kid problems is just too much and it takes the atmosphere away for me. I'm not gonna go into argue that people value Clementine just a tad bit too much in this series, but i believe people do. Hey, she's just a kid. You cried when she had to shoot Lee, if you had her do that, but how much did you cry when Kenny had to see his own son go? Yeah, didn't think so.

  • Realize it depends on the gaming company, telltale likes to not spoil a whole lot before a game is released. But that doesn't make it a joke or not a realistic thing to do. They do "give a shit" about us if they didn't they wouldn't be giving out screenshots. Another example is EA with sims 4 ( don't know why I thought of this) sims 4 already has tons of features trailers and a couple play through in it, to me that kind of spoils it. The reason why you don't think it is going to be released is because telltale is not spoiling the entire game for us and you don't release that companies can go in different paths on how they want to present a game, so stop whining and ranting on like a 5 year old who didn't get his cookie and can't wait 3 more weeks. ;)

Omid looks exhausted: look at the lines on his face (either that or the slightly cleaned style they seem to be going for does that)

Just wondering how Clem managed to get from Savannah all the way to Gil's.

Look at it this way: Kenny needed to refuel at Gil's on his way back from Memphis. Gil's, as far as I gather isn't that far from Atlanta. In Macon, they ran out of fuel. So how did Clem do it? I know it's been several months., but I'm just curious to know if she walked all the way or what.

  • It hard not to call telltale a real game company when they won just about every game of the year award in 2012. Just sayin.

  • I'm not familiar at all with the USA's geography but maybe they used the train again and stopped somewhere between Savannah and where they came from ? Since there was an option to tell Omid&Christa to wait by the train.

    Does that seem plausible ?

Yeah I noticed that too, since he's the only man in the group (or so it seems, we never know) he probably has to do the hard work for Christa and Clementine. And if the theory that Christa's pregnant is true then he's most certainly worried about things like "What if the baby's dead-born", "How am I going to feed my child properly" and all the things any loving parent would think about.

  • This pic scaried me shitless. This game is too gore for me

Looks incredible. Way too pumped for this! It looks like the promotional picture has been released too!

  • Since it's stated to take place "a few months" after S1Ep5, and S1Ep5 takes place another "few months" after the start of the apocalypse, if we assume a few = 3, that's > 180 days in, so that'd be either shortly before or shortly after Russell's story.

Important questions - when it takes place. During or after 400 Days episode? Before or after previous teasers. Clementine looks lonely in them, so Omid may die.

  • If Omid and Christa are alive and with Clem, then their life expectancy is probably not very high. After all, the premise seems to be that Clem will be looking out for herself, allowing us to make choices that matter. She can't really do that with a couple of parental surrogates.

  • i'm afraid that seeing him this early on in the season makes his chances for survival through to the end pretty low... damn it

  • Omid: "Hey Clem, did you know over half a dozen skirmishes in the civil war were fought within five miles of this pitstop?"

(Christa roles eyes as Clem listens).

  • And still no God Damn Wolf Ep 1! Nevermind Ep 2.

^ I think you need to go ahead and read what you just wrote,
I for one am one of those people who hate Clem, not cuz I "love" to hate her, infact I enjoyed here now n again in S1 cuz I wasn't FORCED to play as her than, now that I am now I do hate it, I find it stupid, I don't want to play as a damn little kid, to me it doesn't matter on the gender, but seems like it does to you. Nut up already

  • Well, again, it's a game about people, not zombies. The focus of the games has always primarily been on your relation with the other characters despite the tragic scenario they live in. Plus, Telltale has never been about making conventional games. In Sam & Max, Monkey Island, Puzzle Agent, Back to the Future, etcetera, you got through things by way of your puzzle solving skills, not your ability to shoot your way out of bad situations. I think Clementine is much better suited as an adventure protagonist, as she'll be forced to solve problems through methods that circumvent violence, since she stands less of a chance in an actual struggle.

  • I know right ! I think video games should be about experiences and we already have enough, male badass experiences out there. This might turn out to be a bad experience sure but I'm looking forward to trying it.

  • All day to day I've carried around a picture of Omid with confirmed written under it saying Omid confirmed to all my friends. I'm dead serious, I don't know why I did it I just did.

  • I'm starting to change my mind that having guardian characters will lift responsibility off our shoulders, Clem just needs to take charge more to make the important decisions. Lee wasn't in any sense the leader of the original Macon group, nor was he the most important person in the group, he was at the mercy of Lilly and Kenny's power struggle a lot of the time, which was more to contribute to the demise of the group than anything Lee or Ben could have done. But that doesn't mean that Lee or anyone else's choices didn't matter. Also with all the things Lee taught Clementine, I think she'll be able to handle herself and function within a group just fine.

  • There also seems to be a lack of defense at the gas station. I doubt Omid would be dumb enough to go there without scouting a bit first unless its an emergency. Also Nate does look a bit like the man we saw in a past screenshot and Walter believes they are the same person. My guess is before.
