Playstation 4/Next Gen season pass carryover

edited November 2013 in The Wolf Among Us

Hi
I had purchased the season pass on my ps3 but have since sold it and upgraded to the ps4. Are there any plans to release The Wolf Among Us on the ps4 and if so will my season pass carry over?

It was one the thing that made me not want to sell my ps3.

  • Don't Quote Me On This But I Think They Are Going To But Just Not Really Sure When They Will

  • We don't know.

Simple as that, I'm afraid. We don't know if Season Passes will carry over from PS3-PS4 or From XBox360-XBone. Telltale haven't said anything about it yet. Sorry.

  • We don't totally know but I think telltale just going to stick to last Gen. If they do release it on the ps4 there is a good chance that your save file will be passed on. Telltale would do that

I doubt the season pass will carry over to the PlayStation 4 (if The Wolf Among Us is released for that console) since the two systems are incompatible.

I doubt it will be compatible with The Wolf Among Us (if a version of the game is released for the PlayStation 4), as PlayStation 3 save files aren't compatible with the PlayStation 4 (since there is no backward compatibility). But, if there is a season two (which at this point, so early in the season, is impossible to predict), there might be a chance that the save file will carry over from the PlayStation 3 to the PlayStation 4 somehow, as Telltale executive producer Kevin Boyle stated back in March that Telltale was in close contact with Sony to try to figure out a solution to allow users to carry over their saves from the PlayStation 3 version of The Walking Dead to the PlayStation 4 version of The Walking Dead: Season Two.

  • It could carry over. If you're a PS Plus subscriber and you nab Contrast, plus one other game while you can on the PS3, they'll also be available to download on the PS4 should you still have your subscription.

So, it's possible, I'm guessing. Whether they will or not? No idea. And no idea on save file compatibility either.

Sorry to hear you lost the game as well, as they may not port it over. I think they've said they'll try to release on the new consoles? But it's no way certain, I believe. Might be best to purchase it on the PC if you want to play again. You'll likely get it cheaper at some point too.

  • I really hope it shows up on PS4 soon, cus a lot of people (including me) sold their PS3's. I have a Wii U too and it's not out on that either.

  • All I can say is.. If they start releasing on ps4.. They better continue to also release on ps3 or... or.. I'll type angry things, yes... ANGRY THINGS! Lol.

But in all seriousness I would be angry. Did I say angry enough? Haha.. angry

  • P.S. They better not make you pay for all the episodes, etc.. again if they do start to release on ps4, that would not be a nice things for customers at all.. It would basically be like.. "Oh? You paid? Well tough shnitz!"

  • I wouldn't think either of TT's games right now would be released on the next gen systems until well after the current seasons are over. But that said, for those that purchased the games on the older gen, they should be applied to the next gen when they are released for them. That would be only fair. To charge customers again would be fleecing, IMO.
