Failing the QTE in Episode 5...*SPOILERS*

The one where you have to jump from the bell tower after the ladder falls. I know that Ben will save your life if you brought only him along. Does anyone know what happens if you brought the whole group and fail it? Or if you brought the whole group, minus Ben, if you failed to save him? I'm wondering if someone else will save you.

    I seem to remember falling to my death after failing it with Christa, Omid, and Kenny around.

    Telltale probably designed that deliberately to show that Ben is actually capable of being useful when bad luck doesn't strike, and to show that bringing Ben alone doesn't mean that it's the worst outcome, just a different experience.

    Considering I failed it in a playthrough with everyone to see what would, and Kenny grabbed me. So I don't know if Christa or Omid get you.

    To quote Max from Sam and Max S1E1: I have the memory of a dried trout.

    I very well may have only failed and died when going solo.

    Quoting Sam and Max gives ya TENOUTATEN.
    I think the only way you can die is solo. However I haven't ever seen Omid or Christa save Lee in any playthrough. May have to try that one day. :)

    I played almost all the scenarios. I managed to go solo. You don't die. The ladder stays in place. Then you rejoin the group anyways. It's not THAT different, you see... You cannot die... well, at the end, sure you die.

    If you go solo, as I did, the ladder does fall. Lee just has to make the leap by himself, with no help.

    What I've gathered is..

    • Solo - Die
    • You and Kenny - He'll catch you
    • You and Ben - He'll catch you
    • You and Christa/Omid - Don't know
    • I guess this gives me a reason to play the game again until S2, considering I have 100+ hours ;)

    Yeah, sorry. It's actually like KudzuDevoursYou said. He leaps without help and manages to live. So, no, no die.
