  • cause he is a child molester!

  • Maybe he wanted to steal Clementines stuff or Clementine tried to steal his stuff

  • First thing that popped into my head was rapist it makes sense if you have read the comics

  • If he is a molester, why is he carrying a backpack?

  • what does that have to do with anything?

If he is a molester, why is he carrying a backpack?

  • Well, if he has to escape if someone catch him raping girls wouldn't he just dropped his backpack?

    *just a speculation

what does that have to do with anything?

  • Maybe he plays a similar role to the insane guy right at the beginning of Tomb Raider 2013, using brute force to try and 'save' the lead character.

  • I think it's much more likely that she's stolen something of his, or that he just wants to steal her stuff. While I trust that Telltale could tell a story involving sexual assault in a fairly tasteful manner, I don't think that they're very likely to court that particular brand of controversy and risk alienating people who might be triggered by a situation like that.

If he is a child molester the ESRB rating should include Sexual Violence, or Sexual Abuse. But it don't, so I'm gonna assume he's just trying to steal her stuff, or get back stuff Clem took from him.

  • Is there any link between Winston and Leland? They look so much alike.

  • Haha, never thought of that XD

  • That scene may be a bit misleading. He might be simply trying to keep Clementine from running off and getting herself killed, while Clementine is desperate to get away for whatever reason.

I don't think they released the ESRB rating yet as its not showing on their website http://www.esrb.org/index-js.jsp

  • I wonder if he dies there due to the zombie grabbing him

  • maybey he's a good guy but just likes her hat too much, he wants it, clem denies and he tries to get it from her XD (not serious)

  • Unlike "rape" and "molestation" (which I guess is still a talk here, unfortunately...), I thought like a couple of others that he was trying to just stop her from hurting herself by.. hurting her. Not that much by the looks of it, but still. I don't know, he could be a bad guy, but why would they show us a screenshot and a trailer of him doing such things? It would make people immediately hate him when he MAY be a good guy for all we know.

  • I don't think hes a good guy. By the looks of it his group is trying to shoot Clem. Maybe she went out of shooting range and Winston is chasing her down.

  • The game already has references to sexual assault.

    Woman, forest, bandits, episode 2.

  • Because rapists are allergic to backpacks, especially ones that hold all the supplies they need to survive the zombie apocalypse they are currently in.

  • My first thought was, 'Oh god, another Nate!' but it could be anything. Maybe she saw something she wasnt supposed to and he's trying to shut her up.

  • It look like he had two other guys with him shooting and one shot the zombie that grab him in the stomach, their more than likely evil, a gang of rapists or just trying to help her in a harsh way.

Well, considering where that scene takes place (and when), I don't think it is that sort of thing. More likely he sees her stealing, or is one of the bandits, or trying to help but being ridiculously poor at calming a child down, like @raptor and @Danno123 said. You know how these things go, little kid is hardened by the world, can't trust people, finds someone, runs away, and violently reacts to them. Really, though, it could be anything, but considering the horde of zombies closing in on her later in the trailer, I don't think it's sexual.

  • Who is Whiston?

  • the man taking a hold of Clementine towards the end of the trailer (the one who gets grabbed by a walker)

  • yeah! i'd like to add though! i think like you said that she will get out of shooting but also i think she might get shot and that's the wound she is holding not a bite!

  • That would make sense. Its either that or she hits something in water like a rock.

  • Either one could be a big possibility

  • I think Winston believe it or not is trying to help Clementine, but she's probably on the edge of not trusting no one that when he comes up & grab her she's fighting to get away not knowing he's trying to help. Because if you notice after he hit the walker he pauses for a quick second, if her wanted to hurt Clem he would have done so.

  • That is a good point.
