The Walking Dead Season 2 Pricing.

edited December 2013 in The Walking Dead

I just have a quick question if anyone could share some insight on. Some sites are reporting Season 2 on Xbox 360 and PS3 for $15 but on Steam it is $24.99/$22.49.

Is this true? and if so, why the price difference?

Here in germany we have same prices i think. Its 5 euro each episode on PS3 and xbox. On PC you cant buy just one episode. you have to buy all at once.

The pre-order price for the full season is $22.49, and afterwards the price is $24.99. This is from the game's webpage.

  • You guys are not understanding me....

On Major Nelson's blog, he lists the Season Pass for 14.99 for Xbox 360

So why are we paying $22.49 (on sale) and then $24.99 (after sale) on PC

Season Passes do not include the first episode on consoles/iOS (as you buy the first episode as the base game and the following episodes as DLC), whereas on PC/Mac, you buy the whole season at once.

  • It's probably a typo or something. I don't really know what Major Nelson is, but the official prices stated by Telltale Games are $22.49 (on sale) and the $24.99 (after sale).

On consoles, I think it's about $5 an episode which would add up to $25 for the full season.

  • As far I know after doing research and even calling the Xbox 360, Season Pass includes all eps. I tweeted MN to see if he could give some insight.
Your theory does seem solid but when I bought Season Pass for The Walking Dead Season 1, it had all the eps.

  • What the blind sniper said. I doubt there would be such a significant price different for downloadable content.

If that is the case, that is new for Season 2. If I recall correctly, Season 1 and Wolf Among Us give you episodes 2-5 as DLC and you are requ

EDIT: I looked on the blog and I presume my statement above was correct. The Season Pass is listed under "Game Addons" (DLC), and the first episode is listed for five dollars as an individual arcade game. When Major Nelson said all episodes, I presume he meant it unlocks the rest of the season since you should already own the first episode.
