...It seems Skybound demand credits for just using The Walking Dead as a name for the game. They get a slice of the money from anything that uses their licsense. That's why it's called a license game I guess. Skybound publishes the comics, and collects the fee from anything that legally use their license.

I have had a question ever since I saw the premiere trailer. Skybound's logo is still shown, which is obviously the publisher for TWD comics.

  • Did he really say that? too bad i really liked the way the last one was canon, but can you really have the first one canon and the second one not, how does that work?

  • Mind = blown. I thought i heard TellTale themselves say that it's canon.

  • If you don't care about the comics, like me, then all the video game seasons are their own canon.

  • Sorry, when did this happen?
Why and when is it not canon? I thought that was the whole point of the game tbh.
    The style too.

Now just hold on there one diddly darn minute...

Alright, YOU are not interested in neither Borderlands of the GoT game. Fair enough, you've got your own opinion. But other people, as well as myself, are VERY interested in both of these games. Sure, never AS excited than The Walking Dead S2, but keep in mind TellTale don't usually release a game right on the spot as they're announced. Be patient, The Walking Dead S2 will be out soon, and they'll probably start thinking about stuff for borderlands and GoT. You people need to understand that TellTale DO want to do different things. They're not always gonna be doing The Walking Dead. And with the delays of stuff with S1 of The Walking Dead, you should of expected that with The Wolf Among Us. Not saying we SHOULD have to wait, but yeah.

I feel exactly the same. Never been a huge fan to medieval warfare and this sci-fi shooter Borderlands, or whatever it is... I'm only here

  • It's only because of the Lilly thing which got retcon'd later due to the book. As far as I see it the games are canon and that book doesn't even exist.

  • WHY IS EVERYONE TANNED?!

  • Why should the entire game be uncanon because of Lilly? Why cant they just say Lilly is another person entirely? I dont understand the brand of logic at all..

It was canon but then this got released and changed Lilly's backstory enough to make the game non canon.

  • As I stated before.
Why should Lilly's backstory effect the canonicity of the comics?
Is there somehow only ONE Lilly in the entire world of TWD that has a military father?
What sort of shit is this?
If it's not canon then they can do all sorts of ridiclous shit like bring in the godawful tv characters and go back and forth between the two.
and by then, I woudn't want anything to do with the game..

  • the trailer is wicked

  • Excited to playyyyyyyyyyyy :)

  • Telltale your games are awesome

  • So that Glenn, Shawn and Hershel are in the game (Also mentioned the guy who murder the twin daughters of Hershel in the first scene, while your in the police car) doesn't matter? I mean, Lilly wasn't that important in the comic, she was in like two or three panels. The only non-canon it's That character.

Yea it doesn't matter, the game is not canon to the comics anymore. Denying that will not make it canon.

  • Really? Fuckin really?

    Grow up man.

  • She was in 3/5 episodes, had alot of influence on the group's decisions, not mentioning that she killed one important character from your group. Her dad is not even called Larry in the book, and apparently the way he dies is also different.

It's up to you to imagine the book exists or not, but in reality anything kirkman writes = canon.

  • How do you guys think Season Two will handle our Season One saves? I hope there will be an option to change our Season One choices from the menu. I'm not looking forward to re-playing Season One if I made one mistake which affects Clem in Season Two.

  • I doubt they will allow you to change choices. A part of what made Season 1 so dramatic was that, whether you liked your choice's outcome or not, you have to live with the consequences.

Of course you can replay, but in my personal opinion, it will lessen the value of a player's narrative if they go back to previous episodes and mark "good" choices off a checkbox just to get the outcome they like. If you commit to not rewinding your play through, it makes the tension for choice making that much better, and in my opinion, also makes the game that much more enjoying.

I mean, I have over 90 hours on Season One... Not feeling to re-play the entire season for one little fault I made. I see your point, and I like it but... Yeah, not looking forward to re-wind the entire thing, especially now when choices actually matter.

  • I absolutely agree with the idea that you shouldn't go back to change your choices. You made choices in the moment with what you thought would be the best decision at the time. Your actions have consequences; some you consider good choices upon reflection, some you consider bad. Like life, no one makes the right choice every time. I think it's fascinating, and really what's great about this game in particular, that you need to live with the choices you've made. If people were able to quick-save and reload (not that they aren't able in a way by replaying, but I think it's lessening their enjoyment if they do) the game would have less of an impact.

There's no replaying life; why would you want to replay a roleplaying game?

I doubt they will allow you to change choices. A part of what made Season 1 so dramatic was that, whether you liked your choice's outcome or n

  • And it's relevant here.

    that could said about anything.
