Trailer Breakdown: All that Remains: Kenny Discussion
I just got done watching The Walking Dead: All that Remains trailer, which is flacking amazing, but there was one thing that caught my eye in the trailer. Watch to 0:38:
Trailer for "All that Remains"
As you can see in the video, there is a man that looks DANGEROUSLY close to Kenny, so here I am going to breakdown that part of the trailer and compare images. Since I don't have a picture showing the back of Kenny's head, I'll just do the best I can with this image:
There are a couple things that support the Kenny theory: His shirt color and his hat being the main ones.
His shirt: It is the correct color as in Episode 5: Black. If this is Kenny, this supports it.
His hat is very similar to that of Kenny: Correct shade of brown (if slightly darker, but it's still supporting evidence).
However, there is evidence against these claims. One of these is his bead necklace: It chains all the way around his neck, and in the video, it's not visible when it should be.
Another argument is that his hair is not combed correctly: Throughout the entire Season One, his hair is more "spiked out" to the back, whereas in the trailer, the guy's hair is not.
One last argument requires looking at this image:
The symbol on the back of his shirt is not visible on the upper part of his back in the video, and he is clearly standing high enough for us to see the image on his back.
Anyway, that was the breakdown for the "Kenny" theory. Do you agree with anything? Disagree? Leave a comment and share your thoughts. I swear, if any of these fuckers touch Clementine in a way I do not approve, I will unscrew their heads and pour walker shit down their neck.

Just thinking out loud here. Telltale love messing with us and I've been thinking for a while: What if they bring him back as some kind of antagonist. The title All That Remains would be even more symbolic because we might see what remains of the Kenny we used to know.
Nah, Telltale probably wouldn't go that far.
It's obviously Kenny! If not, who the else can it be then?!
Oh, maybe, I dunno, it could perhaps have a smidge of a chance of somewhat being possibly a new character?
Anyway, while he does look like Kenny, I do not think it is him, Different facial structure (of course, Omid got that treatment too) and clothing. Also, is it just me or have the models become less bobble-head-y?
Look at the shape of his head. There is no smidge.
There is a chance, but if they decide to bring Kenny back, they better give a damn good reason on how he survived:
(Christa scenario) going through an entire walker infested building and through the streets with thousands of walkers all without being bitten?
(Ben scenario) or why he would try to escape after wanting to die with Ben and locking himself in?
That's why I hate the fact that he's alive.
Wall that we know for sure is that Telltale is messing with us. They know damn well it looks very similar to Kenny.
As much as I want him to be alive, I don't think that's him. Shortly before the trailer, I said there was no way they would show Kenny in the trailer.
We just don't know, we'll find out on Tuesday.
I have the opposite situation going on. As much as I don't want it to be him, I know it is.
is Tuesday even the confirmed date of the release?
Supposedly. I'm not sure how much I trust it.
oh, yeah i know they could change it to next year!.....nevermind, i don't think so lol
Month's have passed since the first season. Clem is slightly older for example and Kenny may have changed his clothes? I personally don't think it is Kenny in the trailer but I do think he is alive and will return at some point
He changed into a similar looking shirt that happened to be black? And the bead necklace (Which is not mentioned in the first season). Unlikely, but its still plausible.
they said before Christmas so they can't back out of that. It will be on the 17th as Steam have listed
The guy that points the guy at roughly 1:01 also looks similar to the guy we see from the back but minus the cap. I think it's a folly to base a theory on things that change such as clothing and hair. Possible Kenny changed his clothes and hair a little over the last few months and maybe his necklace got lost or broke at some point. I very much doubt he'd really be wearing the same clothes after a year (or more). A new season is a perfect opportunity to change up a character's design a little to show the passage of time.
I really don't think Telltale's going to put all their returning apples in one basket in the first episode. I think Kenny will appear in Episode 2 as a reprieve for Clementine after the hell of Episode 1. Perhaps he's the one to pull her out of the river ... or perhaps Christa and Omid do. We have no idea where the fight and Clementine falling into the water occurs. Could potentially be right at the beginning of the episode to throw us right into the action and Omid and Christa save her, then the episode continues to go to hell after that with Kenny popping up to save all 3 (or 4) of them at the end of the episode leaving it as a cliffhanger for Episode 2. Quite often, trailers show a very tiny portion of things that sometimes have little to do with the ultimate plot of the movie/game/episode. Could be vice versa and Clementine meets Omid and Christa at the beginning and falling into the river is the cliffhanger at the end. But will Telltale really show the ending of the first episode in a trailer?
Only a few days left to go and we'll see if that's truly Kenny or not. I think we can all agree that if this season is anything like season 1, tears will be shed.
Freedom of speech, every theory counts and so on. But the arguments about Kennys clothes, necklace and hair is just ridiculous. You know all these 3 things are changeable right? For example, it takes me 5 seconds to change my shirt.
First of all, unless you are living in the zombie apocalypse, it doesn't take 5 seconds to change his shirt: all the shirts he had either packed with him or he found, which is rare in The Walking Dead: Most characters had only one or two shirts. You can't tell me that he happened to find a black shirt that looks exactly like his previous one (minus the symbol) and decided to put it on for shits and giggles? And the necklace; why would Telltale games not have him keep the necklace that he managed to keep on for over four months in a row?
Besides, none of those reflect my personal opinion, but rather speculation: I was only comparing the images, and that is not the real reason I think it may or may not be Kenny. I would want Telltale games to give me a logical explanation on how (In Christa's scenario) he managed to get through an entire walker infested building and wander through the streets crawling with THAOUSANDS of walkers without being bitten? (If that is him).
Even if that "mystery figure" turns out to be someone else, the fact Telltale went out of their way to make this guy resemble Kenny so damn much from behind only proves they're playing some kind of game with the fans.
I can live with being teased, as long as there's a huge payoff.
All these people are getting so many down votes...
