  • Maybe he manhandled her a bit to make her go with him but he didnt slap her around or anything.

  • I was wondering about that to. But it looked like she had no marks on her or anything.

  • Sir, you have a dirty imagination. While rapes do happen in the Walking Dead universe, there's nothing in the situation which would indicate that Clem was raped. The Stranger seems to have treated her relatively well.

  • he probably held her up with the gun and told her to go in the room or else he would kill her.

  • Sir, I... was joking. I don't genuinely think Clem was raped.

  • You're right. She's far cuter.

I was talking about the "she's far cuter" line. That wasn't even about child abuse.

I understand why they'd dislike everything else.

  • Oooh! Everybody, look rape isn't funny and if any of you guys don't like the walking dead and are going to make fun of it then leave this website, but I understand it was a joke and it was not intended as a bad thing @Harpadarpa

  • Well it went hand in hand you see, the thread is talking about clem and then the rape thing came up again, no idea why people are so persistent on that scenario.

But you made the joke with the mexican creeper guy, so you can see why people read it as you having a dig at a child being raped.

This is why you have to be careful on what you post in a thread that is about something else, people will put 2 and 2 together and get hatred on you.

  • True, but making a checkerboard of thumbs isn't going to show hatred, it just makes them look silly.

  • I dont like to treat people unfair or rude here because we are all on the same boat. We are all The Walking Dead fans and we have no reason in being rude to anyone for a joke or for having an opinion. Especially here. And once again, I know your joke wasnt intended to be a jerk! Lol

I realize this, but look at the thumbs. Some idiot is just going through, thumbing me down, and thumbing up anyone involved in the same conversation as me, regardless of the nature of the conversation.

"Sir, you have a dirty imagination..."

I find it kind of weird how much benefit of the doubt some people give the stranger as far as the "appropriateness" of his feelings towards Clementine, like he would never think of her that way. I would actually argue that if the stranger had been allowed to keep Clem, it would almost be inevitable that things would go in "that" direction.

Dudes, this is a guy that completely fixated upon an 8-year-old, spent months luring her to him, ultimately abducted her and kept her in a locked room. This is also someone with no apparent means--psychological or geographical (zombie world)--to form normal adult relationships. Why the heck are people assuming he'd relate to her in an appropriate way? All evidence points to the contrary. Yes, it's possible if he'd killed Lee in that apartment, he'd make efforts to have a completely platonic "fatherly" relationship with Clem (and let's face it, he would fail miserably; the guy was completely off his rocker). But it's kind of a big leap to just assume that would be the case. I guarantee you if this exact scenario happened in real life--no matter how much speechifying the kidnapper did about how he only wanted to be a good Dad for the kidnap victim, every psychologist in the world would automatically assume otherwise.

  • Yeah but also if you noticed, he told Lee "we can have a family" ....how exactly?

  • Woah, dude, I wasn't serious. Keep in mind, this guy is fuckin crazy. (In my mind) It makes the most sense for him to not do that, because he feels that this little girl is some sort of redemption.

Clem was meant to be a replacement goldfish for his children, not his wife. And he still seems pretty attached to the, ahem, "old bag."
