Companies can put something called a review embargo on a game. Basically it means reviews legally can't be published until the game is released. I'm quite sure TTG have done that with S2.
Its a guess at most, a good guess but a guess at most, as long as TellTale games has not confirmed the dates than they are not really any dates to go by 100% despite Steam for example giving a countdown.
