The select speech mode

edited December 2013 in The Wolf Among Us

I really liked The Wolf Among Us, Telltale's The Walking Dead is my favorite game and I liked The Wolf Among Us almost as much. But I didn't like at all the way you have to select Bigby's words, there should atleast have an option to select the speechs like The Walking Dead (with 1,2,3 or 4). There was several times I couldn't say a thing 'cause there was no time to read everything and click the right one, please make so we can choose to select the speechs like TWD.

  • I'm kind of confused about what you are saying, because in both games you select dialogue options. Concerning the amount of time you get to respond to things, sometimes you are given less time to answer to add tension and to give a sense of urgency.

  • I think he's just talking about the dialogue UI.

  • Do you mean you want to be able to use numeric keys (1-4) or the Mouse wheel to pick dialogue?

  • Being able to select dialogue choices using the number keys (or mouse wheel) would be nice , since that option was available in TWD.

  • Just press "space". That pauses your game and then you can read everything. Hope that helps. :)

  • Yeah, I wasn't a big fan of the layout of the dialogue choices on PC/Mac. I wish they would have stuck with TWD choice dialogues, which were laid out vertically and you could use the mouse wheel.

In hindsight though, it wasn't that big of a deal.

  • Yes

  • I wanted to select the dialogue like in The Walking Dead using 1, 2, 3 or 4, The Walking Dead Season 2 got same system as TWAU, which is kinda lame

  • thanks, but I think it'll cut the tension of the game, wish I could just select the dialogue with the number keys
