You have to buy Season Passes on PC/Mac. For Consoles or iOS, you can buy episodes individually.
so if you buy the season 2 game like right now and pay $22, you STILL have to pay for each episode when its out after paying the 22?
No. The $22 is a preorder for the entire season. You only pay once.
oh ok then what is the season pass for?
On PC/Mac, The Season Pass is basically you buying/preordering the whole game at once. When an episode is released, you automatically get it as it comes out.
On Consoles/iOS (for newer Telltale series), you buy the first episode which acts as the main game and you can buy the Season Pass DLC with all the episodes after the first episode, or you can buy episodes individually as DLC.
i'm so sorry for wasting your time lol so without the season pass for PC, you will have to download each episode yourself. that's it? sorry, your explaining very well, i'm just kinda slow

On PC/Mac, you used to be able to buy individual episodes for older series but for newer series you can only buy the whole Season. You cannot currently buy individual episodes. The Season Pass on PC/Mac is a purchase for the entire season. You get the episodes as they come out since you have already purchased them.
Unlike PC/Mac, Consoles and iOS allow you to buy individual episodes as Downloadable Content, but you have to own the first episode.
