Cynical Episode 2 Prediction
After replaying the final chapter again I noticed something.
If you save Nick, you and him flee with Pete slumped against the boulder.
If you save Pete, you and him flee with Nick escaping into the woods.
Why do I get a feeling Pete is going to bleed to death/turn in Episode 2 if you save him, remain dead if you didn't, and Nick will always be alive regardless of your choices?

Yeah, that sounds pretty spot on to me. It feels similar to whether you chose to "save" Duck or not.
The story has a set plot, you only influence how it is told.
If you overanalyze every choice and keep in the back of your mind that it won't make any difference, you'll just ruin your experience with the game.
Oh, I'm somebody who actually depends Telltale's "tailored" approach quite often compared to Mass Effect's "It WILL have an impact on a grand scale" which Telltale never promised. I just hope it's me being cynical, because I don't want to take part in every 'big decision' but know in my head no matter what I do it feels absolutely pointless.
My concern with Pete/Nick is we're going to get the same run-around as Doug/Carley. IE It's too difficult to write in two separate characters, only in this case one of them always dies, whilst the other one always lives just with a bit more scenery dressing in Episode 2.
Obviously I can't properly render judgement until I get it, but this was meant to just be a cynical prediction.
I take the notes about weather a character 'will remember that' as a sign to if they will stay in the game long term. I know Telltale don't favor any particular character and won't hesitate to kill someone off but I went with Pete and not Nick so I can only speculate that if you go with Nick I can see Pete returning to the house managing to fight his way back and then end up pissed off at you and in turn 'remember that you left him' later on in the season, causing drastic changes.
That's my theory anyway.
If you go with Nick, Pete gets surrounded and presumably munched on by zombies. Nick fires a few rounds, but he appears slumped against the boulder, motionless.
Thanks. Little room for a come back from Pete then! I'll have to check back here after Ep2 to see what the out come is.
Dejavu.
I remember a few folks who got a "X will remember that" notification in S1 shortly before they were killed.
