Yeah I knew this game was about fairy tale before I bought this. But i didn't read Fable comics and i thought the fairy tale was just half part of the game. When I found out whole game was about fairy tales, I was disappointed. Well, I should have researched more or waited till i knew better.

You don't order food you have never tried in a restaurant (generally) and if you do, you don't whinge about it if you don't like it.... I know I certainly don't. If you have gone into something 'blind' and found out you don't like it, then unfortunately that is your issue. Put it down to a lesson learned...

The store page clearly says that it is about the comic book Fables you play as The Big Bad Wolf. If that wasn't enough for you basic logic would of told you to seek out what Fables is about.
I bought the game with no prior knowledge of Fables. So no you don't need to "study" what fables is. Media coverage and trailers will tell you enough. Unless you live under a rock you know who IGN, Kotaku, GT and Gamespot are.
If the is a game that I am not really sure about I research it do death finding official reviews and reviews by small time youtubers so I get a real idea if I'm parting with money that I won't regret.

I find video reviews and such tend to tell more than show when it comes to games I'm interested in, so I don't tend to enjoy watching them and come away with a mostly theoretical view of what the game is like.
But let's plays let you see how the game is really played and how the player reacts to the choices they face, giving you a much more practical idea of whether or not you'd like it... And if you can find talented let's players like pewdiepie, seananners, northernlion and cryaotic, even just watching them play the game can be entertaining in itself, which can make even the act of researching games you might like to play a fun experience.

I, too, actually bought the game without knowing anything at all about it except that it was made by TellTale and would feature similar gameplay to their Walking Dead game and that was enough to convince me to try it. I wasn't disappointed by it, however--quite the opposite, in fact, I absolutely loved The Wolf Among Us and I can't wait for more.

Same here, I knew nothing about fables prior to buying it, only bought it because my friend said it was good (and I had loved TWD season 1). It pulled me right in, I loved the first episode.

That guy's laugh is enough to bring a smile to my face. The fact that he does it every three seconds is awesome. Though Northernlion more accurately portrays how actually playing the game is.
