Where is this story going? (No Spoilers)
I've seen a few reviews asking this question.
I don't think they understand that Clementine is a child.
There is a reason we don't know exactly what's going on in the house.
It's quite obvious that grown-ups wouldn't share that kind of information
with a child, especially a child they just met.
In season one we were Lee, a fully grown man who had a strong opinion.
That made people turn to him, he were the "natural leader" Therefor we got to know
where the main plot is going quite fast, we were creating it.
When being Clementine we need to understand that we can't create the
story the same way like we could with Lee. We are just a child, and adults would
never trust or seek advice from a child. (Not when there is such a important thing like surviving a zombie apocalypse.)
I don't know what you guys think, but I think the reviewers who are expecting every puzzlebit
in the first episode are a bit silly.
That's about it.
I hope you guys enjoyed the first episode as much as I did.

natural leader? when?
otherwise i havent read these reviews but the lack of direction has nothing to do with her being a child. Its episodic yes but 1.5 hours? Really TTG? Coulda easily put in another chapter or two to help us gauge these new characters
As I've said a few times, a lot of people seem to think this is more like "Episode 6" than a whole new Season, new plots, new locations, new characters. S1E1 didn't give any indication of where the plot was going at all other than "Lee will protect Clem. They're at a motel"
I agree, at end you still don't know much about anyone or what their ambitions are. Kind of a cheap ending in my opinion
I get what you're saying - especially because she's a black, female child. But hey, that's a part of the reason why I'm loving this season and loving her as the protagonist. I think it makes the game doubly important. Lee was amazing, but I don't think we'll have to worry about not creating the story. Clem's smart and tough and I think she'll manage.
