Carolyn nails what I thought of the episode's shortcomings, but I would have given it a 7/10, at minimum. Not really a 6.

Honestly I didn't like it as much as the other episodes. The thing with having worse after worse situations is that it gets unrealistic. Yeah the first season wasn't exactly sunshine and rainbows, but it had its slow bits, or moments to take a breather. Those made the actual bad bits more interesting and shocking when they finally happening. Going from Omid dying to Christa possibly dying to dog bite to group thinking walker bite to a gruesome surgery to a TINY bit of a breather with the conversations to a walker fight does NOT make for good pacing and honestly made the episode more laughable than anything else.
Not to say I didn't like it, but I'd love to see better pacing in future episodes. Season 1 nailed that.
Yeah, I mean this episode wasn't really bad, just not living up to its expectations compared to season 1. But don't get me wrong I still love this episode despite some unrealistic moments like Omid's death, the dog attacking Clem (dogs don't actually do that unless they're threatened) and the group's reaction to Clem's bite (It's obvious that it wasn't a zombie bite, the wound was too wide for its jaws/teeth) . But who knows, this season could turn out for the best.

This Episode was better than Season 1 (My Opinion)
Dogs don't do that unless they're threatened. Tell that to my facial scars and the dog, that I had known for years by the way, that grabbed me by the face. I love dogs, own dogs, but sometimes the friendliest dog can turn for no reason. Furthermore, the dog that attacked Clem was starving and starvation will drive most animals to attack a human. That was completely realistic. Omid's death was realistic as well. Shit like that happens in real life quite often. And the groups reaction to Clem's bite was due to paranoia and fear, two emotions that cause people to think and act in funny ways. For a story set in a world overrun with zombies I think it's actually pretty realistic.

I loved the pacing of the episode. Adding slow parts doesnt help the pacing either, it slows it down.

I liked it a lot better quick time events and good introduction. Sure we dont know much about these knew people but they introduced them
I think it's 8/10 for me. I love the story and the gameplay but the story is too dark for a 11 years old character. They focused on the "survival" impact of the story rather than the "emotional" part of it. I felt it like she's Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider 2013, same scenes when she's hurt and attack.. Can't wait for episode 2 though.

I believe it is impossible to rate this episode 10/10 however it has to be a wayyyyyyy better start to season 1 and on parr with wolf among us

It was an emotional jolt to see Omid die,i was just getting my head around the group being back together,i wanted the story to slow down so i could take it in,it didn't ,so with Christa i just felt numb,and the dog just summed everying up,completely unecspected,then i got tough,it's just awesome,well done Telltale!

The Walking Dead Season 2 has turned out absolutely terrible, so at least I will have TWaU E2 to look foward to.
