I know nobody wants to say it, but it's the most likely explanation.
She definitely loses it one way or the other. But whatever happened, she certainly seems a lot "colder" and that can't all be due to Omid's death.

how come no-one wants to talk about it? i immediately assumed she lost the baby. and after Omid, i can see her shutting down. but yeah people say I'm heartless cuz i don't seem disturbed by dead babies or the thought of it. if it was mine different story.....but yeah chances are she lost probably during childbirth, or something.

Obviously dead. Other post-apocalyptic births we've seen in The Walking Dead required adult assistance. Christa presumably only had Clementine.

Miscarriage isn't likely past about the five month mark of pregnancy, and Christa was very likely past that (probably in her eighth month.) Stillbirth doesn't seem likely either because wouldn't the baby come out as a zombie instead?? No, I think it's most probable that the baby was born during those months but died either very quickly after birth (improper care / birthing?) or sometime later on down the line. Because, like others said, a nursing mother and an 11-year-old... probably not the best group to be caring for a baby.

I think they'll do a flashback in the next episodes ... Or Clem wil ltalk about it witch Rebecca since she's prego too.
First of all, there was no indication on the baby's gender. And as for the mystery, it's pretty self explanitory that she had a miscarriage most likely due to all the emotional stress.
Always room for abortion. She could have self-terminated because of mounting despair; when she had Omid, she had thoughts for the future, but without him, her family's future was gone. What would the point have been?
I think that's also why she had such disdain for Clem right before the split-up. Clem, by failing to keep her gun on her, destroyed Christa's whole family. Clem pretty much killed her. When you're talking to Luke and eating... ramen, I guess, at least one of the dialogue options leads Clem to say that she brings death wherever she goes. It was a very Ben moment and very sad.
I think the fact that Clementine knew about how to do the stiches and everything might be a sign that what happened like maybe died during birth maybe similar to Lori except Christa lived and the baby died.
yeah, i have a feeling her knowledge of stitches comes from that and not just normal cuts
After Omid died and Clem and Christa were sitting at the campsite there was a shot where the camera was very clearly showing her now non-pregnant stomach (although it WAS 18 months later). So something happened and it's really probably not good.
It's hard enough for a trained doctor in a sterile environment to save emergency pregnancies. A little kid and the mother could not do it alone. Still thinking it's broken glass or metal lacerations.
