Could Carver be...(spoilers)
..Nate?
Just a random thought. The group Clem runs into seemed pretty frightened of this Carver character, and we already know from 400 Days that Nate is a nasty piece of work. Nate is also capable of the carnage Clem, Nick, and Pete found by the stream. We also can probably safely assume that Nate will return in some fashion, and given his character...probably as an antagonist.
Now on the surface this fan theory might sound a little crazy, but consider...Carver can be either a first or a last name. If the group was referring to Carver by his last name, it is at least possible that that Nate's full name could be Nathaniel Carver. Or alternatively, that Nate isn't his real name at all and it was just an alias he used with Russell.

Fuuuuck.. If nate somehow returns he better keep away from clem. he is a crazy fuck.
I guess it's possible. Really anyone from 400 days that lived could be Carver. My money is it's just a new antagonist but anyone still alive from the first season or 400 days could be this Carver guy.
I think carver may not turn out to be a psychopath and clem has to choose between camps. Maybe they seem better at first but then slowlt show themselves to be harsher than Luke's group.
maybe it's just name that make him sound like a bad guy, like if he had a name like "Friendlyfluffykitten" you would imagine he was nice
Nate seems probable since he is capable of carnage and all that, but the "Carver" were looking at seems like the one who had a group, or rather, he seemed like the badass leader type. I don't see Nate leading (unless he had a bunch of friends) considering he's a complete a**hole d*ck and no one would last 2 hours with him. So yeah i don't really think it's Nate.
