Why is Christa completely forgetting _______?
I've noticed the way that Christa acts around Omid's death and whenever you mention Omid in general. And by the looks of it, she doesn't like it. When Omid dies, she looks at you as if it were your fault. You're a nine year old girl against a however old woman who has a gun, there was no way out of it. And when you're by the fire, cooking the meal, and she tells you that you should be doing it, when you talk about how Omid was going to show you, she goes "I KNOW what Omid said..". The last part being when you say you miss Omid, she frowns at you.
OK, fair enough, she obviously doesn't want to remember what has happened, along with the baby (I'm guessing) being either stillborn or, who knows. But why is she trying to just completely forget Omid like it never happened? AND seeming like a real dick around Clem about it?
Comments
Because adults seem to forget that children are still going to be children, even in a zombie outbreak. It was "Clem's fault" because she left her gun out when she shouldn't have because she should have known better, even though up until that point Clem has probably never been in a situation where leaving her gun out in the open would have led to someone getting killed.
Kids learn by making mistakes, and she made a mistake. Unfortunately, mistakes in a zombie outbreak tend to lead to death, whereas mistakes in the real world don't (typically) lead to death.
Because human beings aren't always rational, especially when grieving for a loved one?
Christa just wanted to forget because it was easier and less painful.
Come on now. She might have sounded harsh to you, but when it came to a hard moment. Like getting captured by a group of bandits who asked for her partners. Christa insisted on hiding Clem's whereabouts. Until we (hopefully) meat Christa again. That is enough to show me the type of woman Christa is.
She looked at the gun because she was contemplating suicide after his death [much like Katjaa]. Then she looked at Clementine because she knew she wouldn't be able to leave a child on her own.
if christa didnt care about clem, she would have told the man where clem was at because she was going to die without telling also clem didnt pick up her gun before getting her water
Because in Kirkman's universe, Satan rules everything.
She had a RIFLE in her hands why would she look at clems gun contemplating suicide??
I see it a bit different way, Christa looks at Clems gun like ''we were supposed to look after her'' she kind of thinks its clems fault, but understands that its their fault by leaving clem alone
I saw it as her looking at the gun and realizing it was Clem's gun that killed Omid and that's why she frowned at Clem, i.e. this is your fault.
Christa can react however she wants to react in my opinion, She lost all of her friends, her boyfriend (husband?), and her baby. These are stressful times. They're tired, cold, hungry, and a whole lot more. Also, it's 16 months later, she's probably trying to move on. Not to sound cliché but in this world if you dwell on something you can wind up dead and she's trying to do what it takes to survive. The fact that a little pain and anger come out doesn't make her a bad person- just a realistic one. And she probably does blame Clem to some degree for allowing someone else to get her gun and use it on Omid.
But like others have said, when they were attacked she refused to give up Clem which lets you know she did/does care about her and was still looking out for her.
I think the same. She looked at the gun and then to Clementine, it was obviously pointing out she blamed Clementine for Omid's death.
it just hurts her to much. she care about clem just not more then her own baby and boyfriend that just how things work in life
This just in--humans are emotional and often irrational!
Film at eleven.
clemintine caused omid death by leaving the gun untended but she did not kill him sooo christa feels that clemintine was responsible in some manor
Different people respond differently to grief. Christa may not like bringing it up, but I don't want to think that she stayed completely unfriendly with Clementine because of it. Not if she was still willing to look out for her after all that time.
Honestly I got the impression, totally serious here, that Omid and Christa wanted some alone time. Maybe not for... you know.... "that" but just a moment away from a child where they could talk as adults. If they were really just all getting washed up there would be no reason for the three of them to not stay together... I mean, at this point in the world the whole mens room/womens room thing kinda goes out the window.
^ This. I'm actually confused as to why Crista went in the mens room in the first place. Surely it would have made sense to make sure someone stayed with Clem?
Cause it's easier to suicide with a gun. Can you imagine trying to point that rifle at your own head.
And don't ask "why the head?", think for a minute about that too first.
Can you reach your cock wiv your own hands? If yeah yo wont have much of problem to simply lift it aiming at your throat(from bottom obviously trough head) Cos there isnt many rifles with barrel longer than 20'' , think for a minute how youre overthinking things. Someone would already kill you before you would commit suicide...
World is not what it used to be, should the bury him and order a gravestone online? If u spend time thinking about them who are gone, you are gonna die yourself...
Yeah, it exactly looks like that, they just had a reminder of sum good times together, and wanted a little bit of privacy
I didn't take it as Christa blaming Clem for Omid's death. When Christa looked at the gun, and back at Clem I took it as sadness, grief and confusion. As for her being harsher with Clem, I just took it as Christa being broken. She lost Omid, and more then likely, her baby as well. That's never happened to me, but I'm certain that's not something a person can get over in just 16 months. That's the way I seen it anyway
sex duh
WHAT?! THAT'S THE MOST RIDICULOUS THING THAT I'VE EVER HEARD AND IF YOU DON'T TAKE IT BACK RIGHT NOW I'M GOING TO KILL EVERYONE IN THIS ROOM.
Er, wait.
I can, but I prefer reaching my cock with someone else's hands.
i hope its over 18 female hands...
yeah like Ben Paul, except that everyone else died around him
i think she blaming clem but still took care of her
Because Clem pulled a Ben. She dun goofed, and Omid died for it.
Of course if you want to think about things rationally, Clem is just a small child. Christa shouldn't be holding a grudge against Clem for it. Unfortunately people often aren't rational, particularly those who are grieving.
That all being said Christa is clearly conflicted and still cares about Clem, despite the cold demeanor. She continued taking care of Clementine for 16 months, and when confronted by the bandits she tried to pretend she was alone to protect Clementine.
This
Yeah with a baby already totally lol
I knew someone would say that. Don't really think that would be a priority in a zombie apocalypse though..
yes it would thats life
Yeah that's understandable. I guess it's difficult to get alone time with a child in tow but I dunno, just thought someone would have checked out the rest room with her before leaving her in there..
Oh they definitely should have but then that wouldn't have furthered the plot :-)
also in real life clem wouldn't last 16 months in that world
I knew Christa was going to think it was Clem's fault because Omid told her before going into the bathroom to "Keep track of her stuff" and then she refuses to pick up her stuff after the water bottle dropped. Therefore, in Christa's mind, since Clementine did not heed Omid's warning, that it's her fault.
Despite me always thinking she was a little bitchy, she gets a free pass on this one. She just lost her partner and presumably, her baby. It's understandable why she would not want it brought up.
Well Clem is a little girl who just lost Lee herself. So I think Christa wants to be pissed at her, but also knows Omid wouldn't want that, and that Lee and Omid died protecting that little girl, and she can't abandon her because it would be dishonoring both Lee and Omid's memory.
However she knows Clem cannot be a little girl any more even if she is only well about 11 now. She is harsher with Clem because she has to make her tougher, Lee was working on it when he died, but she has to be able to take care of herself more, they only taught her how to deal with walkers not people.
