I didn't get mad, but there are two things I would have done differently if I was really in Clementine's position. Grab the gun quickly for self-defense instead of hiding in the stall, for one. And two, hammering the piece of wood back onto the hole in the wall as soon as I get back in the shed, because you know a walker could crawl through there.
Of course it was dumb. By looking at the wound that doctor could see that Clementine is possibly telling the truth because it was not an obvious walker bite. Therefore they could have given her the benefit of the doubt and at least cleaned and tended to her gashing wound before sticking her in the shed until morning (i would estimate morning would have come in about 12 - 14 hours). But whatever, maybe they are just a bunch of heartless goons (which they actually aren't).
Anyway, one hour later at the most, after Clementine had just tended to her wound and killed the walker, they come into the shed and are like "well, ok, you don't have a fever yet, and you just killed a walker, so you won't turn. Come on in. Here is some food too". Totally derp.
Such dumb and uninspired writing, and that is just one example, there are many more. We are at the beginning of season two and just I can't stop facepalming. Unbelieveable. The writing was so good in season one, even the 400 days DLC was great....
It wasn't obviously NOT a walker bite, either. It was a long rip because Clem had yanked her arm back, so it could have easily been from either one.
And where are you getting the 'one hour later at most' bit when it's clearly gone from day to night?
Seriously, if the writing's that bad, just stop playing it. But it seems to me like people are trying to find any little nit to pick so they can sound like hipsters who got off the train once it was popular.

Yup. It wasn't obviously a walker bite and it wasn't obviously not a walker bite. Your point is? Oh, right, you don't have one.
Fine, then it was 2 hours. But it was definitely long before they went to bed and loooong before morning. Right? Did 12 or 14 hours pass until morning? Nope. Turn on your thinking cap my friend.
And trust me, I wouldn't complain if Telltale was doing one of my favorite games justice with great writing. You're probably just mad because you didn't notice how ridiculous the writing actually is until someone pointed it out. ^^

Of course, because if you don't know either way, you should err on the side of having someone turn into a walker and kill people. It's so obvious now!
Or maybe my point was that if you don't know either way, it's better to err on the side of caution. I can't see how someone who might have a walker bite should be treated as if they're safe. And I certainly don't know why you'd act all snotty and superior because you're stupid enough to let someone who might turn into a walker into your house.
ETA: And I wasn't mad until someone who's clearly not as smart as me had to start acting all snotty and superior, tbh.

One thing it doesn't come across well, to tell everyone who disagrees, that they're stupid for not seeing "how ridiculous it is".
On the other hand I feel the same way as you do, everytime I read how great the writing of Heavy Rain supposedly is.
What's my point? I don't know. I can understand the urge to point out the flaws if I feel that there are any. I also understand the feeling of being told the game you love, has sucky writing. You're less likely to accept even legitimate ciriticism then.

It makes sense to be on the side of caution, but it doesn't make sense and stick Clementine in the shed for 12-14 hours (until morning) and then suddenly and unexpectedly declaring an hour or two later that she will not turn and not being scared of her at all anymore. Why didn't the doc just say, "hey, wait in the shed for an hour, if you don't get the fever then we will tend to your wound". But then Clem would have absolutely no reason to sneak into the house and a large part of the game would have been pointless. Yup, you guessed it, that is what is we call uninspired writing.
Not to mention that you must have the fever to turn into a walker after getting bitten - and it can take quite a while until you turn. Remember Lee? Remember Duck? Clementine didn't have the fever and the doctor was apparently very familiar with the fever too. Like I said, uninspired writing.
Anyway, If I am snotty and superior just because I love season one and the 400 days DLC and am pointing out the blatant and major flaws of season 2, then so be it.

I didn't write that anyone one is stupid and never implied that either. Maybe they were so immersed in the game (crying about the dead dog, I dunno) that they didn't notice.

That's the issue.
An infected arm could have easily given her a fever, and then she would be killed by the people anyway
because it is a symptom for turning apparently...
I think Clementine leaving her gun on the counter (at the point she's still 9) was a realistic move by a 9 year old. I too was clicking on the gun and it was obvious that something was going to come from leaving it there- but that was us as Adults realising that. From her perspective she was a typical single-minded kid who didn't think things through.
Regarding Sam, that really took me off guard- but if you think about it- all animals are just that, animals. Like in the green mile- they could turn savage at any moment- especially one who has been left in the wild for however long (while being very hungry). I think the dog collar was a subtle touch meant to disarm us and immediately think he was friendly and tame (which it did).
@hihitwd I agree about the slightly exaggerated emotions- I guess a way to make things grittier? I did like it when Clem said: "Screw you guys!" I felt that emotion was more like it!

Thing is Clem's bite was getting worse, she had to help herself. I was getting nervous sneaking around the house though.

The entire choice system in Season 2 Episode 1 is garbage.
