S2 Ep1 Thoughts?
I saw some reviews saying it isn't as good as S1 but you can't compare a whole season to one episode. I think episode one of this season is better then S1 Ep1. I think this season could be better then season 1. I was not sure about Clem growing up but i think it works. If she stayed the same age, it wouldn't really work. Anyway what to you guys like or hate about this season so far?

I agree, IMO it was great start to finish. I thought S1 EP1 was boring until Lee and clem make it to the Pharmacy.
I thought the pharmacy was the weakest part of the first ep tbh - all of the banging around, the ridiculousness of the universal remote + brick solution, etc. The bits with Lee finding his family's picture and his brother were very nice of course, but that whole sequence took way too long on the first playthrough.
I love how much more streamlined this episode is. There's no attempt at some sort of lame "Rub things onto other things until they give birth to progress" vibe that's so common to adventure games.
I agree seriously the amount of times this game surprised me was ridiculous and i loved every minute of it, i can't wait for ep 2.
I myself have to give the slight (and I do mean slight) edge to S1E1. Mostly because it was a lot more effective at introducing the supporting characters. Sketchy, you mention the tedium of the pharmacy section, and on the actual business of playing it, I agree with you wholeheartedly. But the thing that pharmacy section did incredibly will was establishing a situation where you could go up to the characters and talk to them (give them an energy bar, put batteries in their radios, what have you). You got to learn everyone's name and who they were, at the very least.
It took me two playthroughs of S2E1 to get everyone's name committed to memory, and even then, it's just a name attached to a singular character trait. Rebecca=Jerkass. Pete=Fatherly. Sarah=Sheltered. And so on.
Now I have every last faith in the world that Telltale will flesh these characters out in later installments (judging from the slides for upcoming episodes, we seem to be in it for the long haul with them), but that doesn't do me a whole lot of good now, when All That Remains is all that can be played.
So yeah, very slight edge to A New Day. Very slight. Like, it's a 9 and All That Remains is an 8.5. That slight.
