Have Your Opinions Changed?
This is to the people who didn't quite like the idea of playing as Clem at first. Well now that you have, what are your feelings towards playing as her?

Well I'm happy that she's mature and while not treated like an adult she's not a child either however the realism is a bit reduced, Rebbecca's attitude seems extreme towards a little girl. Overall I'm happy with it as it feels natural to play as her after 2 years and the dialogue options your given are varied, unlike Lee being mean as clem actually dosnt feel out of character, she works either way.
I was defiantly one of the players looking forward to playing Clementine and Telltale didn't let me down one little bit! Awesome first episode, short yes, but every second mattered with barely any downtime. I just hate the teases, it's burning my soul I need to know!
All of my fears have been assured. I had really REALLY feared for an extremely long frikkin time that the one thing that would hinder telltale's execution of the walking dead's season two would be the implantation of everyone's favorite little cute girl clem as the season's protagonist. Despite the fact that I really really wanted to play as her, I thought that such a thing would very hard to execute and lead to bad results.
But on the complete contrary, Clementine as the protagonist didn't hinder the game. Far from it, it is the very central reason to the game's first episode's excellence, And not just because she was great in season 1, but she IS still great, she is still in character, and playing as her is so great that mid-game it even made me forget about playing as lee.
Now don't get me wrong, I do still really miss Lee, and I wish he were to magically come back somehow, I dunno, but as a character, I miss the character of Lee, However I don't miss playing as him.(not as much as I used to at least) That's how incredibly great playing as clementine is. If Lee were to be brought to us from the sky, I'd still play as clementine if given the choice.
I love playing as Clem
very happy, and my (Clems) outlook has changed,i try to make her more tough to more tough situations like talking back to adults more.
No. my idea for TWD2 was that we would play as a new guy and we would stumble upon clementine. the things lee did would rub off on clementine and you watch her as she grows into a young woman and becomes more and more like lee
There is zero possibility that Telltale could create a Lee substitute who wouldn't be considered a Replacement Scrappy. People would dislike the guy intensely, no matter who he was, for usurping Lee's role.
Making Clementine the protagonist was a logical as well as a brave decision, and now that we know how well she can take care of herself even at 10 I am definitely reassured it was a good decision as well.
I loved it from the moment I heard it, and I love it MORE now that I've actually seen it in action. So my opinion definitely changed. :P
Never had a problem with it, but did fear for the execution. I stand corrected.
I agree completely. It was a bold move by TellTale and to quote Jeremy Jahns, having us play as Clementine was so genius.
Was worried about Clem maybe not being in the season. When i heard she was lead character i was not sure about it. Then her being grown up i wasn't sure about it either. I think it was right for 16 months to pass. Clem in S1 was too innocent and now she's more grown up and i like what telltale did with her.
That review... I like it. ANOTHER!!!
While Gamespot listed what I didn't like about the episode, this guy reminded why I did like it.
