Why was this episode so short ? And why Pete....
Seriously why was this episode so short ? Compared to s1e1 it was REALLY short. Also i hate how Pete looks straight ahead when talking to clementine he doesn't look down or anything what is up with that?

Some people do that talk like that particularly old guys with kids...
Also I feel the episode wasnt that short its just the puzzle in the middle was just quicker to figure out. I do think it maybe ended a little abruptly.
Whaat? So it wasn't lazy animation ? I never heard that one
because it's the 1st episode
It took only 1hr 30min compared to season 1's 2 hour episodes
Season 1 Episode 1 was much longer and it was the first episode so what gives?
It didnt seem that much shorter to me.
It was fast. Though, if you stay longer in looking for food when you're with the dog, that takes time.
It took me 1.7 hours to complete All That Remains and every episode in Season 1 took me 2.5 hours each. I'm kinda disappointed....
I think it could be due to the fact there was lass dialogue with other characters compared to season 1 e1, I spent lost of time talking to everyone in s1 until i exhausted all my options unlike season 2 e1 where there wasn't much to say when you tried talking to people. Season 1 took me about 2 hours where as season 2 took me 1 hour 30 mins.
I like to take my time and go through every option. If you only do the bare minimum it probably feels very short. Its about the same length as episode 5 of last season so it seems that the episodes on average will be between 1 and 1/2-3 hours. I read that this was kind of an introductory episode to get new gamers and old gamers acclimated to the game so I have no doubt that the next episodes are going to be longer as the storyline expands.
I guess they wanted it to go on sale before Christmas so they cut content and shoved it out the door.
2.5 hours each? Have you ever played episode 5?
Me neither
i try and talk to everyone and isnt it the same engine so they would be use to looking at lee
Yes, I have. Why?
Cause it's short too
Actually Pete shows a lot of respect toward Clem and that's why I like him the most .
What I didn't like in the episode is that I didn't have the chance to really talk to people and get to know them (except for Luke & Pete) , last season we could talk to every 1 for few minutes
Season 1 Episode 1 had more to establish. The game's universe, the new characters and all that. With Season 2 Episode 1 I think they relied a little too much on the fanbase coming back for more.
Like the intro "movie", it doesn't really give us a lot to say about who Clem was/is but who Lee was. The skip forward in the beginning by the pit stop also gives a little too little info, both of them. We also don't get to talk with other characters. Like how Lee could talk to Clem, Carley, Doug and the rest in the Drugstore. Those small discussions is the reason the episode 1 really felt longer. In general Season 2 Episode 1 had really few objects to actually interact with.
Like in Lee's story you could check at least around 5 items in every room you entered. In the cabin with Clem there is around 5 items in TOTAL in the entire cabin you can look at. These interactions, like I've said, is the reason Season 1 was cooler, and longer. So far I've only seen Clem being able to:
Christa and Clem's campsite: "Look at campfire", "Add fuel to Campfire"
Forest: Look at sign, "Talk to dog", Look at 5 things around the campsite (Cooler, Car, Tent(s), Box and the Grill)
Shed: Look at Hammer, Boxthing, Anchor, Table, Tool board.
Inside cabin: Painting of a duck, the watch, the two cupboard departments, the needle "stack", the note of children's names, the board games.
Out with Nick/Pete: Talk to Pete, Talk to Nick, Examine Body of Roman, Talk to Nick, Talk to Pete, Examine body on "island", examine other two bodies on island.
And when it comes to the conversations that doesn't bring the story forward. When you talk to the Dog/Nick/Pete there is no actual conversations to be had that is in anyway fun to have. Like with Lee and Carley talking about what they did before. Clem simply asks what they are doing, she gets told what they do (or barked at) and then that's it. These conversations is what REALLY makes the game so long and THIS is why the new season in my opinion is so short.
