Lilly is left behind by the group, but there's no reason to say that she did or did not die. Clem could have learned of Kenny's fate through Omid and Christa, so if we're going to assume it's someone that WE have met before, I'd say it's him.
But it's not impossible that it's someone else who they met in between Season 1 and 2, possibly someone from 400 Days, or even someone who we haven't met yet.

I agree that it's more likely that shes a bandit than Kenny, due to her attitude, but i just struggle to Believe that in 16 months Kenny or Li… morely have somehow managed to meet up in the same area, this means they would have literally traveled in the same direction as Christa and Clem.
However, there could be some sort of community in this area that attracts people, so people may be brought to it idk.

I'm not sure Clementine would really have a reason to think Lilly was dead, though--in my playthrough I kept Lilly with the group until she stole the RV, so the last time Clem saw her, she was speeding away from the railway. It seems more likely she'd write Lilly off as "missing" rather than "dead" in that scenario.
I wouldn't mind seeing Lilly back either (or any familiar/friendly face at this point--one who doesn't die five minutes in, Telltale), but that's still where my vote goes.
I start thinking Telltale is making their games based on the feedback we give on the forum. I count on Lilly as well , but I'd be very surprised if in the next episode we won't see her just because there's to much going on about her in the forums.

There would be practically no shock value to running into Christa, so I think it is more likely the devs wrote either Lily or Kenny into that scene. The St. John brothers have been mentioned a few times in this thread, but I think people are forgetting that both of them can be killed in the first season. And unlike Kenny or Lily, their ultimate fates aren't uncertain. If you have Lee kill them, there isn't any doubt that they are dead. One gets impailed with a pitchfork and the other electrocuted. Since the "I thought you were dead" scene also pops up in playthroughs with an imported dead St John Brother's save, I think we can rule them out.

it's Kenny and I bet that they're not the group of bandits it's probably tavia's team who's finding for needy survivors which will then introduce clementine to the 400 days characters and Christa. The bandits would come and invade them on episode 3 which will lead them on episode 4 on which they'll find another way to survive running from the bandits. Not sure about episode 5

Im going with Lilly because I think Kenny would have the sense not to join with bandits or group that I think likes to kill because of what happened back at the Hotel in season 1, and I think Lilly needed to refuel her satisfaction of running a group. It also seems like the more logical choice rather than Kenny, and it also seems that it would be just to easy for it to be him (Yes I know TellTale said that Kenny's fate would be investigated further or something along those lines or another. I also don't think it will be Christa because of Clem's reaction from the side video I think she would of been more happy not necessarily shocked. I do think however that we will meet back up with Christa later on in the season. No ways it's Lee or Omid they're Dead and gone no way they're coming back.
I think it might depend on your choices. But like 'TWD PDX503' said, we'll just have to wait and see. Even though I prefer Kenny, either him or Lilly would be a welcome come back in my book; I'd love any Season 1 character to come back.

I am not sure why Clem wouldn't think Lily is dead. Kenny even remarks she won't last long and everyone seems to agree. It's also the most likely because we know that group of bandits were close by to where she would have gotten stranded. However, you can't ignore the foreshadowing deliberately put into the narrative of Clem having and looking at the drawing of Kenny. I am convinced of 50% Lily, 30% Kenny, 20% other (likely Christa).
