Man things get DARK real quick

edited December 2013 in The Walking Dead

I'm doing a playthrough of this here:

And things get super intense right off the bat. I'm really loving the first episode (in a real dark way) and can't wait for more.

  • At that Chapter 5 Picture with "coming soon..." that zombie was Lee

  • Really? Didn't Lee die in Savannah? How did his zombie corpse make it all the way up to a climate where it would snow? I don't know very much about the migratory habits of zombies, but I'd think that would be pretty hard.

  • As much as I love The Walking Dead, am I the only one that got bothered on it's "darkness" and "gore" ambiance? Especially on the stitching scene, it took me several minutes to finished it..

  • I had trouble emotionally getting through that scene too, but I have to admit I like that they're getting darker with the story now. They've been through the zombie apocalypse for years now, and people are starting to lose their grip on morality even more now. Continuing to live seems more and more like an impossible task.

  • It looks like the world's humor and optimism died in that toilet. Everything is grim and serious. Clementine barely smiles. During first season she was beacon of hope and now she's just sad.

  • I suppose spending 16 months with Christa after that first scene can lead to that...

  • Well, Walkers can travel very far, depending on the shape there in, but that zombie resembles Lee a lot, and maybe he was already in that climate as it happened.

  • The darkness and all the "shit just got real" stuff is exactly what I hoped for. This is TWD major leagues now.

  • If Lee was handcuffed the last time we saw him, how could he travel all the way up north? I loved Lee but I hope TT leaves his story alone.

  • His hand Could have ripped off from the handcuff as a Walker, I agree with the story and leaving it alone, but they may just do it to add suspense.

  • The darkest part of the game would be episode 4 based on its slide

  • Yup

  • Whats with your music audio?

  • Can't travel very far after they've got a bullet in their head. Which, coincidentally, a lot of Lee's have.

  • The Walking dead is a VERY dark Story Indeed.

  • I'm hoping they do. All this stress of Kenny is already killing, don't need them throwing Lee into the mix. I had Clem shoot Lee dead so I'm 98% sure that it's not him that's in the slide for episode 5. But WHOOOOO knows

  • I'm not in denial, yes Lee is dead, but it could lead to Clem never shot Lee even if you choose to,which would not be your choice as your not playing as Clem at the time.

  • The walker has a white shirt on and some people would of killed Lee. Really don't think it's Lee.

  • From past experiences, don't take these episode splash-screens too literally. They're just supposed to represent the episode in one way or the other.

  • Possible they could have changed that with Season2

  • Zeruis is probably right, not all of the episode slides are that accurate, they seem to just represent the episodes itself. Take episode 1 of season 2: the person with the flashlight is Luke (look at clothes) but in the game, Luke never found Clen at night and nor was it was it raining and Clem was never holding a hammer at that time

  • Most of the time, those things in the slide happen, with different people is mostly the difference, take the 4th episode as an example, Kenny Christa and Lee are in the sewer, but we know Christa and Kenny were not there, but it still Happens only with Lee instead.

  • I definitely see what you mean, but I'm really enjoying playing clementine as a bad ass who doesn't take shit from anybody. The stitches scene was tough to get through, but for some reason the dog scene was worse for me.
