How on earth did Clementine's hat stay on her while she was underwater, being thrown around by the river and passing out before waking up?

    She took a leaf out of Indianna Jones' book and stapled it to her head.

    Well you can tighten hats pretty far, also consider it originally fitted her two years earlier. Its probably pretty tight

    If it was so tight that it couldn't possibly fall off then she would be doing some pretty bad damage to her head..
