I see a mixed race girl whose features to me look more black. You can see other features in her that stand out that are from her mother, but overall if I saw her on the street I would think she was a lighter skinned black female. I really can't see the resemblance to Clem tbh. maybe in the eyes, but that's it.
racism?! come on , they chose a black guy to be the main character . the hero who takes care of a little girl as his own for the entire season , how can they be racist ?!
People are so attached to Clementine, I wonder if they would like to play an episode of her as a grandma dying of natural cause...
I mean, I really like her character devellopement, but eventually I feel like this game is about surviving, during the darkest of events (deads walking). Even more sadly fascinating, how people reaveal their true nature, brave or grim.
Therefore, I wouldn't wish for her death, but could really see it fit.
Well it certainly is I'm just saying as far as the game is concerned. It'd be fitting for us to grow so attached to this girl and then at some point- BOOM! Sorry everyone!
I hope not. And not just because I'm kinda bonded with the character. It was shocking with Lee, but it was also understandable. His role was t… moreo act as a guardian to Clementine, prepare her for the dangers of the apocalyptic world and then let her move on. I always felt that their parting was inevitable. In the last episode of the first season, the moment he was bitten, I had no doubts of Lee's fate. So in the end, I was heartbroken, but not shocked. If they do the same for Clementine though, it would be a different story for me. I know that in The Walking Dead Universe everyone is expendable, but it wouldn't have the same effect for the second time, and knowing that I'll lose every protagonist in each new season would just kill my interest in the game. I know it's the journey that matters and not the ending, but it's just how I feel. I'd like to seeher become the survivor she's supposed to be.
I'm sorry, but THAT is one of the most racist remarks I have ever heard. So, you're saying that say, I, a white woman, went up to a black woman and called her a slur, that wouldn't be racist? Or that time when a black man called me "a fucking white monkey" isn't racist? Or if someone said some slur or stereotype to an Asian, or Spanish person? You CAN be racist to EVERY race, thank you very much! >:(
Killing Clem would render all of season 1 completely pointless. It's like if they killed rick grimes AND Carl and all of the notable main cast in the comic and started off with another main cast. It would just kill everybody's interest.

I sorta can't, but she has her moments. Plus, she's clearly, ahem, "with child" as they like to say, and they were totally going for the stereotypical mood-swing stuff in the, uh, early-on stage. So it's understandable.
Precisely my thought, alas, I also see how, as a new protagonist we end up wounding her, 'unpurposely' (self preservation), only to discover the shadow we took a shot at, would be our dear and grown up Clementine.
I know, quite gloomy, but that's my feel about this tragic universe.

It's TWD so they will probably kill her, but I don't think it will be this season. Maybe she will stay as protagonist for all upcoming seasons and they will kill her in the last episode. I just hope there will be many more seasons to enjoy. Telltale made a brilliant job and it's my most favorite game so far.
Quit bashing Clem. That's not what this thread is for, in fact just the opposite, so you're actually offending people the way you keep carrying on about it. And if you're doing it on purpose, then you're trolling.
If that's the case, please end it here. If not, there are plenty of other threads that you might actually find interesting or cool. Keep it up and you'll get flagged.
I dunno about being devoured. I like to think Clementine will put what she's learned to use to the point where she's just too good at avoiding getting bit. Getting shot by someone I could see, at least that would reflect choices made, like whatever she chooses, she ends up getting hurt in a manner appropriate per said choice(s). Seeing her get bitten or eaten because she did something stupid or got caught by surprise would just be lame.
Guys, stop feeding the troll.... people said very valid arguments and yet he/she isn't even acknowledging them. I bet this is just a troll. This is also very much off topic...
Unlike most movies or games were it would be cheap or fall under "the black guy always dies first or in general" routine, here it is not the c… morease. The events leading up to Lee getting bit and dying were all unforeseen and proof that even he wasn't invincible. He died in a sad, (tearful too) honest and non stereotypical way. He was well written and well received, and I know plenty of people wanting him as character of the year in some circles, and some even said he is/was one of the best characters ever created.
Know what would of been racist? Had they made him a stereotypical convict that spoke ignorantly and acting how some (or maybe even more) of Hollywood portrays black characters in films or television shows. He was a normal, educated, caring, strong man who made mistakes and owned up to them. He didn't abandoned Clem like some deadbeat, and he didn't have any mannerisms that made his character seem cliched. He was the exact opposite of a… [view original content]
Basically I was stating it is not impossible for her to develop into a Kenny type character (whereas he became unstable and likely losing hope… more.) However, there is also the possibility that she will have a greater understanding on why things happen as well as a significant amount hope by the end of the season on what she has to do in order to survive. If that is the case she would likely continue on for an additional season.
That's not Racism, Racism is calling another race a name, or saying your race is better than theirs. Just because Lee is black and he dies doe… moresn't mean that's Racism....that would mean any character that died could be Racism, because you can be racist to any race, not just black people.
Im not a troll, i just wanted to understand why they killed lee, it's seemed like race but i may be wrong, no need to get upset over a chat, i never disrespected anyone here.

If she dies, I just cannot continue with the series. As much as I love the series, Killing Clem would be horrible. I have such a strong bond with her, and I know they are not gonna make another character quite like her. I just don't think I could play anymore if she died.
I am preparing myself mentally, yeah. If killing Lee was a natural move to pull, killing Clementine is a must. The effects of her death would … morebe tremendous due to out time as her caretaker and as herself during this season. I don't want it to happen, but I know it can. That's part of the brilliance of the IP; nothing is certain.

...Great??

Depends if we end the game when she is already an adult or not , people don't like to see kids die no matter how tough they are .
I'm Latino and I consider you racist for victimizing all the other races except for the whites.

You are the biggest troll I have ever seen ! Lol you "got" a lot of people.
The series would just feel pointless in the end, it would feel empty.
"knowing that I'll lose every protagonist in each new season would just kill my interest in the game"
This this this.

So is Christa, but... Then again, most people can't stand her,
An ambiguous, open ending for clem might be the best we get, but heck, I'd take it.
Oh goddammit. I swear to God this better be real.

Wrong type of game for that, now NFS, THAT game turned me into a racist.
Christa was a racist stereotype at first, then telltale made her better.
Thank you for this lovely chat.
OH! Oh. I thought...you know what nevermind. I mean, yeah a little bit. Lips are definitely different though.
I wish they could do everything possible with Clementine, then just leave past her instead of killing her off.

My lord women you need to take a chill pill and relax a bit.

Episode 5 is called No Going Back.. and its picture is the only one that doesn't show Clem.
This worries me.
I think this is the final season.
Season
Are you actually taking that person seriously. They're obviously a stupid troll.
Just shut the fuck up you annoying troll.
Did you not see all the white people who died way before Lee you dumbass?
Clementine is black too, just lighter.
Oh god...

Killing clem would be natural also because alot of people like clem, thats how you get people crying over her
