What do you think it is? I am placing a couple of cents on autism, though Nick could have just been ridiculously over protective.
On an unrelated note, Sarah never mentioned the pinkie promise to Clementine at all in my playthrough. She was easily distracted, let her ramble on about her 'friends' and the book.

I reckon she's somewhere on the autistic spectrum as well, but Carlos might mention what exactly is different about her so we can't be sure. We're not psychologists or medical professionals after all.
I honestly don't think it'll be spelled out for us. Maybe an extremely innocent variant of the 'Walking Liability'?

I'm not sure, but I definitely felt the something odd about her. She wasn't acting her age and she was so persistent about the whole pinky swear thing. I don't know, too soon to say anything maybe. But I tried every possible option, she will always insist on it. Can't help but to think devs will use this against us at some point. I believe something awful will happen and shatter her isolated world and we'll be right in the middle of it somehow.

Uhhh..pinky swear and manipulation? I flat out refused to call her my friend. I'd say she has SOME sort of anti-social disorder...definitely. Normal people wouldn't be so prone to make new best friends so quickly...or maybe I'm abnormal
I didn't do it to manipulate her, I felt kid of bad that it seemed like she was always trapped. Even though it's not a world you want to let someone out into, it seems a little unfair to keep her out of everything. Maybe she has autism. Maybe she witnessed someone close to her being pulled apart by zombies, and her way to cope was to withdraw to a happier time or something. Whatever it is, my clem is not going to manipulate her. Clem made a pinkie swear, she didn't even tell Sarah's dad. Though he seemed to already know...
