The Walking Dead is based on a comic. They wane from the comic a bit, but waneing from it that much just...would kinda ruin it slightly for me, and probably a good few others.
It could be a nice little DLC or something of just short little stories from the characters we met in the seasons from before. We'd control each of them for a short time then move onto the next character. Almost like 400 days but a prequel. Doubt they'd do it, but it's a nice thought.
After episode 3, I'm pretty sure they had to come out and basically say that it was no longer heavily based off the comics, but rather just the same universe.
Lee and Clem and anyone else from S1 (Except Lilly, but they again said that it wasn't the same Lilly from the comics) are not in the comics. (Forgot Glenn. But he left before Ep 3)
So how would making a prequel about people not even in the comic, 'ruin it' for you?

I wish there would be a DLC episode that shows the group going to the air force base and meeting Mark. Poor Mark didn't get much of a chance to shine. He sure shined with the time he got though.
The telltale games and comic are in the same world / universe. The Glenn you meet in episode one is the same Glenn that meets up with Rick later on. Confirmed several times and you can find that info almost anywhere when you read about this game series.

THIS i could agree with. The Walking Dead is all about survival and sure it would be nice to know how things were before, that's just not "TWD". I'd rather have a camp story scenario where Clem tells the new group or who ever is there what she did before, maybe do some flash back scenes (but could just be her telling us).
I took a liking to Mark and it sucked he had such little screen time.

Yeah, I guess it would be. Like something to keep us from getting bored. I.E, how they met Mark, maybe a lil bit on inbetween Season 1 and Season 2 (Like when Clem & Omid, Christa, meet up)

Meeting Mark would be a great little thing for fans. Playing as Lee again, talking to ourfavourite original characters, seeing their reactions to just how bad things are (They went from optimistic in Ep1 to timeskipping to "They're used to it"). Basically a fanservice ep only it wouldn't be cheesy or purely fanservice

Great idea for the anniversary of S1 if the series is still popular by then. Make the emotional toll of Mark being killed affected in S1, see the S1 cast at the Motor Inn in improved graphics, HUD and animations, flesh out Lilly, Larry and Katjaa more. More Lee and Clem time

How would that work?
Show what happen before the zombie apocalpse started. like Lee's past life and Clems past life.
I'd love this but I doubt it'd ever happen. It'd pretty much be going against everything the walking dead is supposed to be.
That...wouldn't be The Walking Dead then. It could work for flashback scenes, but not a full fledged prequel.
No.
They should do that.
That'd be interesting.

but how they didn't meet before there wasn't even a zombie apocalypse and they met in season 1 episode 1
He's talking about as separate stories.
it wouldn't work though
...Why?
they didn't meet each other before it all started anyway.

Which is why I said separate stories! As in, a prequel about Clementine, then a prequel about Lee. That's what OP meant.
Better?
Yea it would. 2 separate DLC stories. One is about Lee's past life and the other is about clems.
I apologize if I came off as angry, wasn't my intention. I was merely trying to explain it more thoroughly for you.

EDIT: Sorry i read your comment wrong.
maybe but you don't have to get angry at me to prove your point

It's alright considering its talking about lee and Clementine
imagine you had to play as lee killing the man that slept with his wife before entering the cop car going to jail before the apocalypse started
I wish
I would like a DLC with Russel and Nate. Or maybe even Vince. I would buy that.
