Will you miss the romance options?

edited December 2013 in The Walking Dead

Lee was able to romance Carley,Lilly etc. and it was quite fun to be honest. Will you miss the romance options? I will, but I will still prefer to play as Clementine. I think she is one of the best, well made characters in a long time for me.

  • Nah, I didn't use the romance options in the first place so it won't affect me.

  • You should try it sometimes. It really changes how you play through the game.

  • Lilly was romanceable as well. :) I tried to escape with her, haha. :P

I was one of the few that picked Doug so I never got a romance option.

  • Not actually...those who saved Doug got the bromance option XD

  • Proud to be one of the few who actually digged her character a lot.

Oh really I didn't know that. I.....kind of left her on the side of the road......

  • Oh my god, when Carley kissed lee I was so excited because they could make each other happy in the apocalypse.....then she died. Haha so yah then I was trying to attract Lilly. it's May sound weird but even though Luke is much older I want him and clementine to be together ahah. Weird I know...

  • Not really, because nothing really happened with those anyways, Telltale loves to kill people you get close too!

This is a warning to Clem! Don't get close to anyone! lol.

  • Aha I know I just thinks he's really sweet!

  • Haha that's true. Unfortunately

  • I really liked Carley, so knowing what Lilly did/does makes her impossible for me to like. The mini romance with Carley definitely made her death that much worse, so yeah it definitely served its purpose. I agree though, I'd rather play as Clem than have another romance option.

  • He is one of the only characters I trust at this point in time, I feel like he has got my back.

  • Yeah I'm definitely going to miss the romance option, they can add alot to the characters and the story I mean I don't think Mass Effect or Dragon age would be near as good if you didn't romance anyone

  • Why do you prefer to play as Clem? Ahah just wondering

  • Siding with someone doesn't have to equate to romance you know. I was pretty much on Lilly's side before the shooting incident, but I didn't take it as a romantic relationship.

Clem is such an amazing character, You can't help but feel sorry for her, but then again you can't help but admire her survival skills and doing what she needs to do.

It's awesome to see a child grow up in the ZA and see what happens and the effect it has on them.

  • Same, I love having romance in games it just makes them feel more real I guess

  • You spend all of season one guiding and molding Clem with your choices so it just seemed like the natural choice to continue that for season 2 to me.

  • Not really, Zombies. I play it mainly for the romance.

I think Mass Effect and DA would still be the same without the romance.

  • I disagree, still be great games but I don't think I would have been as invested say if my warden wasn't in a romance with Morrigan or Shepherd with Ashley then breaking up with her then getting back with her before the end

I think Mass Effect and DA would still be the same without the romance.

  • What romance? The most you ever get is a peck on the cheek from Carley shortly before she gets her brains blown out. Lilly never offers anything more than being nicer to you if you didn't smash Larry's head in, without anything romantic necessarily being there.

  • imagine if telltale really implemented this for the next episodes,it'll be an epic twist, most people wouldn't see that coming

  • I would have liked some more options to be honest with you, and not just cuz I'm a perv but if the game was really getting down to the nitty gritty of the situation I think people would be shacking up left and right. And there's certain loyalties and sides that get determined that way.

Bromance is a strong bond, it also enacts the Bro Code (How I Met Your Mother reference).

  • Like most other people have said ITT the romance options have been slim to none. That being said, no, I'm not missing a thing. I can't be the only person who is sick of seeing a romance unfold within every entertainment medium: video games, movies, music, tv shows, books, etc.

  • I had a chance to spark a romance possibility between Lee and Carley in my game... Damn it Lily.

  • To me there was never romance in the game really

  • I'm sure shipper girls already furiosly writing Clem/Luke fanfics. Or Nick/Pete slash.

  • There wasn't a proper Lilly romance. She just says he is the only one in the group she trusts, that doesn't mean 'I love you'
