  • I expect more from it emotionally wise. and so far it's delivering on that, I feel so bad for Clem.

Can you fault people for expecting more from it. They been promoting this game and all its awards. The game landed such success. They put off

  • I dont quite understand why people get mad that they hype up their games. What else are they supposed to do, and with the success of the first one, why shouldnt they crow as loud as they can? They should hype up every game as much possible and its up to you to decide whether or not they deserve it. I see people on Facebook too saying they shouldnt post all their accolades? What? If I did something great, I would tell everyone.

  • A week before the game was set to release. (We didn't even know when. We found out two days beforehand from Twitter) they went to big gaming review corporations and handed them a Pre Released copy of the game. They didn't even disguise it. They brought the day one reviews, printing them on top of the discussion of walking dead season 2.

They ignored the community who daily would ask for updates or release. The most we got was a screen shot from twitter. These guys got to play the entire game beforehand in favor of good PR to hype up their game. That to me, doesn't seem correct.

  • I sincerely hope it gets more intense. Again. I never said Season 2 was bad. I actually think its quite good. In comparing it to other Tell Tale games. I didn't find it lived up. Again, your free to disagree with me.

  • I initially saved Carley because she went out of her way to save Lee, Clem, etc. Doug just couldn't reach that brick. As for season 2 I really enjoyed the first episode, it was very intense. I enjoyed it just as much as season one regardless of seemingly less choices.

  • I still dont see the problem. I assumed they were waiting to hear back from all the gaming systems before they posted releases. They cant tell people what they dont exactly know yet. I personally was glad to get any little tidbit of information. As for the PR, isnt that how it works? You sell a product and you want good word of mouth. Its not a personal slight against fans. They gave the game to press members who could get the word out. Im sorry, I just dont agree. It just seems like business to me.

I never said he was lee. I mentioned the guy at the farm. I didn't think remember his name. Because it's not important. The big picture is the choices, not the names of the people. Your just getting sucked in by Rachel trolling now.

  • You think everyone is given an epic death? Ben can even fall onto a spike on his way to potentially great redemption. We don't even know about Chuck until we find him. Katjaa's suicide

  • Agreed. Christa could be stabbed in the leg and killed, or escape. They could even reverse it so Christa being stabbed means they don't kill her because she isn't a threat, whereas Christa running away is what kills her

  • I found S2E1 to be more emotional than S1E1, which is interesting.

Does it really matter if something is "better" than something else? It's all good and a great experience.

Personally, I find it really hard to slap a rating of any sort on something.

If you don't like the game don't play it.

And my opinion is why make pointless threads? If you think the game is flawed, just delete it and don't talk about it.

A tad over reaction. I think it could be improved. I didn't buy it just for the walking dead. I bought it for the choices. I already put money

  • I agree, the first episode of Season 2 made me cry in less than 10 minutes.

I think way too many people are too busy comparing it to other things that they aren't really paying much attention to it as a sole product.

  • I agree to an extent, but your thread needs to be rewritten.
Season 2 as a whole isn't overhyped, moreso episode 1, as the full season hasn't been released yet, you've been unable to judge the other episodes based on this.

Episode 1 seemed all "rushed" and just left alot of questions that make things seem unplasuable compared to anything else.
You never really got to walk around much as clementine, most of it was cutscenes with the odd dialouge choice. Compared to episode 1 of season 1 where you had plenty of "relaxed" moments to ask people questions to solve some simple questions.
Such as "How the hell did you manage to hide the horrors of a zombie apocalypse from your daughter for so long?" Even Duck knew how bad it was, they can't of been safe forever.
If they just gave us the ability to walk around the house for a bit after being let inside,I'd of been fine with it, but it just tries racing to the end.
I don't like thepace it's taking. It needs to slow down a bit. That's what made season 1 so great.

  • Its hard to not think you take the game seriously with your screen name. Honestly, if we just all accepted. What they gave us, they wouldn't learn what to do and what not to do. Take Dragon Age 2 for Example. People expressed what they believe. They just didn't delete it. Now Dragon Age 3 is supposed be made purely from fan feedback.

Same with Mass Effect 3, fans were unhappy with the ending. They just didn't delete..and Bioware re-wrote it. I'm making a thread because It's my choice to, isn't that what this game is about. Choices..

If you don't like the game don't play it. And my opinion is why make pointless threads? If you think the game is flawed, just delete it and don't talk about it.

  • At first. I didn't think about it at all. I finished the game, then just two day's ago. I played Walking Dead Ep 1 again. I thought to myself "Wow they have a ton of choices the first round" it's not as if..fresh off the release. I was looking for flaws. It was natural. Could I just be expressing my Opinion. Even if it disagree's with yours. It still may be solid.

I agree, the first episode of Season 2 made me cry in less than 10 minutes. I think way too many people are too busy comparing it to other things that they aren't really paying much attention to it as a sole product.

  • Exactly.

The game was an hour and 20 minutes long. You barely had time to actually do anything. I know they are building up to something greater with the choices they are making us make this early in the game. It's not obvious to us now. There are many holes in the game which you have shed some light on, that I could have written better I agree.

Our end thought is still the same. They could have done a little better.

  • Hopefully we'll have better chance in episode 2, that seems to be alot more peaceful.
But my issue is, as I stated, everyone and everything just seems to be in a "rush"and it just seems overwhealming, specially since we're two years into the apocalypse now.

  • Yes, after playing the first episode and glancing at the highly informative slides and titles of the remaining four, I can say with complete confidence and total authority that season 2 is a massive disappointment. Clearly, the only way they can redeem themselves is by bringing back Lee, Carley, Doug, and Kenny from the dead and having episode 5 culminate in an epic, no holds barred orgy between the four of them while Clem watches on in horror.

  • With the Help of Steven. I re-wrote the main page. Credit goes out to him for helping me pin point some of my thoughts making it more clear. But seriously if you disagree with me that's fine. I don't take it personally. I'm just expressing an opinion.
