The TONE of "I thought you were dead"
Ok so TT wants us to think its somebody Clem doesn't want to see alive. but what about this. The people pointing guns at your group in the e2 trailor just happen to already have Christa or Kenny hostage and when she sees them in a dangerous situation she could be happy there alive but sad that they might not be for much longer.
Or lets say Kenny/Christa is holding our group at gunpoint for supplies and Clem steps up through the crowd when she notices their voice.

Hmm.....could work with Kenny. Not so sure about Christa however. Unless there's another timeskip then it's an awful short amount of time for Christa to get in with another group. There's also the fact that despite being seemingly broken that sort of behavior seems too OOC for her.
I agree, but I doubt it's Kenny. I think it's probably LIlly.
For one thing, any character that can possibly die through Lee's choices (or lack of them) is out of the question. Any character that gets into a situation where they have little to no choice of survive is also likely out of the question. Clem has to KNOW this person, too, friend or not.
Again, my guess is Lilly, because if it's a character you can kill, well, what happens if you did kill that character? They use another one?
Kenny was broken too. Broken/weak characters seem to live longer in TWD till they snap out of it then _____________ (flat line)
Still thinking it's Lilly myself despite wanting to see Kenny show up. Clem just seems more afraid/unsure than anything else which is something I could understand if it's Lilly.
However it works both ways. If it does turn out Kenny snapped and could have become this Carver that everyone is afraid of then her fear could be justified if they continue to build him into the monster that I'm getting the feeling he/she is going to be.
I wouldn't read too much into how she said it.
The "Next Time on the Walking Dead" previews in season 1 weren't exactly 100% accurate to the actual episodes.
I think the "I thought you were dead" is going to be one of a couple of dialogue options anyway.
There might be a more optimistic one among them.
But speculation is fun nonentheless, so I'm going to go with... "I'm sorry I didn't come looking for you Christa, but I thought you were dead."
It's as good a guess as any.
Exactly, the previews weren't exact all the time (Yes, based on SE1), those were merely used to keep us hyped for the next episode, and for us to keep guessing the possible outcomes that were to occur.
