Clem in The Shed
When Clem was in the shed how did you feel when she got the peroxide and stuff and it made you sew her arm and she was screaming and bleeding. I felt terrible. Also i had a feeling that zombie would come in because of that hole and when i was fighting it i failed like 5 times because i wasn't moving fast enough and didn't know what to grab and to me that was one of the worse parts in the episode.

It wasn't the 'worst parts'. It was the most shocking parts.
It definitely wasn't one of the "worst" parts. Shocking yes.
Yes, it's not like I posted that same sounding comment at all, please, continue to copy me.
I will thanks
Thought it was a little messed up that Clem sewed her own arm back up but I guess it's an indication of how far they're willing to go this season.
It was that or die.....
First time playing through it felt a bit shocking, and disturbing to me that little Clem had to do this. But after playing a few more times, I just found it to be a little funny. Not the act of sewing her arm up, but her facial expressions in accordance with her voice actress. I don't know, it just felt like Clem's VA over did it a tiny bit.
the way she just pouring that disinfectant to her wound really cringeworthy
Dude that was the part where I cringed the most! When it turned white I cringed. I know that's what peroxide does but I still cringe.
I really didn't want to do it, but I just somehow felt you wouldn't have the choice like you did with Lee. I don't see why she couldn't have put the peroxide on the wound, then dressed it? It would have done till the morning when Carlos could have stitched it up for her.
also when she thrust too deep on the last stitch, she pull it out again,I really wish she shouldn't done that
Yea when she didn't quite get the last one and we got a nice and close shot of that shudders I'm not sure I could do that in real life.
I thought the same thing! She wasn't bleeding so I thought stitching wasn't totally necessary.
(I kind of expected the choice to alter how she looked; stitch yourself and give her a bad scar, or wait until the morning and have the doctor give a tidy scar.)
Yeah, I completely agree. It should had the choice there because after all, this game is about making tough decisions. She wasn't bleeding at all and she wouldn't have died in the space of several hours. It was just an unnecessary gore scene to make you realise how messed up the world is really getting.
Lee cutting his arm off was much worse imo
You dont think she was making her face look anguished enough?
I dont know, putting semi-clean rags on an open wound doesnt sound the best.
Why do I feel like "Clem In The Shed" is going to be a future title for a folk song or sea shanty?
Haha I like the idea of it being a sea shanty as sung by Quint from Jaws.
OOOh Clem in the shed
That's what me ol' man said!
Unless you have trypophobia.
No it's not that, I just felt it was a bit exaggerated. I've done a few stitches on children now, and while some did exhibit pain; it was never to that extent. Clem's facial expressions weren't the problem. For me it was the VA, it just felt a bit over done, after I played through it a few times it just felt silly to me.
And given that she may have stitched herself up before, and probably many times during that 16 month time span, I can't see why she would overreact to that degree. That's all I'm saying. It was a horrible scene no doubt, but after watching it a few more times. I just felt like it was a bit exaggerated.
Did you not give the kids you stitched up any painkiller/numbing agent? Because as a grown man I was given a shot so I didn't feel anything when I got a couple of stitches in my toe.
I have no basis to judge how bad it would be to stitch up a large wound myself without anything to numb the pain with so it certainly could have been exaggerated. But I do know I made plenty of sympathetic noise just watching what Clem was doing.
Just cause the bleeding stops does not mean the wound can't still be infected. You have to stich and close the whole wound to be sure.
Some cases didn't require painkillers because of how small the cut was, and other times the parent wouldn't allow us, based on their religious values. In those cases the children I helped stitch up didn't react as much as I saw with Clem. Maybe it's just who the kid is, and how much tolerance they have for pain. I'm no expert, I was just expressing what I thought.
I whole heartedly disagree. At least that scene was a fast and a quick-ending process, with the camera moving away and only showing the arm a few little times. Here it's a slow and very cringe-worthy one, you have to do every move (That's 8 times you have to do it), you get treated to a lovely close-up of the stitching everytime, and well, have i even got to mention the voice acting?
You said it: small cut. Clementine had almost her whole forearm ripped open.
For some comical relieve drink the juice box while applying medications.
Clementine had a very large wound that went untreated for....probably somewhere around half a day to a whole day, had no pain killers, and poured peroxide on it beforehand....or possibly after, I never tried to see if you could do that. I think that would hurt much more than a normal stitching on a normal wound. Especially since she wasn't using proper stitching materials.
Clemintine actually passed out, presumably from the wound, and it was shown to be extremely painful for her. She needed it cleaned and stitched as soon as possible. Plus she may have been worried about them deciding not to help her. You get choices to try to get them to let Clem go. It doesn't work, but it shows she may be worried about staying with them.
