For those who don't know, you can run in this game
I just randomly noticed it while pressing the Shift button on my computer. Looked through the controls and there it is, "Run". Kinda handy if you want all the slow walking parts to go faster, more so when you have completed the chapter already.

PRAISE THE LORD!
Amen brother!
I had no idea!! Is that what they wanted me to do when Clem was trying to run from the zombies? Because I was so confused.
I tried that but it did not work, seems like the run funtion is only there if you want the walking or crawling parts to go a little faster. Like when you walk around the cabin trying to find a way into the house.
Yeah its RT on consoles, never realised till someone pointed it out
that's why y'all should go check the setting/option menu first in every game before start playing it,filthy casuals...
Point taken, but i never needed it in the first game (it was not there either) so i had no reason to believe i had to look through the options menu again.
More like fast walk and not exactly run but still. It's pretty neat. And yes, you should check out the controls menu for every game, you'd be surprised how many people miss little things because they didn't bother to check the controls. I learned this lesson in Tales of the Monkey Island after painful slow walk to literally everwhere.
Thanks
I would not call it running, but the comes does so better stick with that so others can understand. I check the controls most of the time, but like i said before i did not see a reason to do it this time around as i've already played TWD S1. Common knowledge would be that the controls would be the same. That run function was ninja'd in.
Don't need to run lol.
There is no need no, i never said that. What i did say though is that it's good for people who want the walking or crawling parts to go faster, if you are replaying the episode for example.
For some reason I read this thread title as "you can ruin this game" and thought "yeah I know. I do it every time I hit rewind because I can't live with the woeful consequences of my actions."
Thanks, Captain Obvious
How was it obvious? Again i never thought the controls would change for a game like this and it has never been mentioned anywhere.
Hmm, what about "Settings" in main menu? First thing to do is to change resolution or enable subtitles. You can't miss "Controls". Moreover, if you played TWAU, there is the same thing with running. Besides the game itself says you in the very beginning that you can run by pressing certain button.
Again, we could not run in the earlier walking dead game and there was no reason for it. Why would i think i could be able to run in this game? TT never mentioned it anywhere as a "big thing" to remember either, i also have not played TWAU.
I do check the options to fix subs and resolution but when it comes to games or game-series i know i rarely look at the controles cause they almost (like to 99%) never change. The only times is if there is a cool new feature or some sort of an attack in an action game, it's the only time i look it up, but this run function as far as i can tell (and i hang around many game news sites, MANY) and it never popped up.
