Tell me your relationship with Kenny!

edited December 2013 in The Walking Dead

My relationship with him is at a not-so-good-normal stage. I backed him up in everything! Except killing Lary and dropping Ben. ALL OF THEN WOULD HAVE BEEN SUPPORTED BY ME IF IT WASNT FOR CLEM -_- but i care more about her safety. But Kenny was sometimes an asshole, in episode 5 was when he realized that i was always there for his family. Tell me your stories!

Yeah same here, I sided with Kenny most of the time except I saved Shawn, stayed neutral with his arguments over Lilly and saved Ben. At the end if Episode 4 I was upset due to the fact that he didn't want to come and save Clem :( But we were still bros though :)

  • I looked after his family all the time (gave duck food three times, as well as water, saved him from the walkers), but disagreed with him in his arguments with Lilly.

    And he hated me.

    I guess that's Kenny.

I backed him up every argument besides his arguing with Lilly. I either alternated or stayed neutral. I sided with Lilly in the meat locker so Kenny treated me kind of mixed afterward. I actually prefer it though. I missed Kenny and Lee being friends but I think it made for a more powerful story or characterarc when he decided to help look for Clem and they settled their disagreements and arguably became friends again in Ep5. To me it seems more realistic and interesting than being besties all the way through the story. I like his character even more for it

  • I always sided with Lilly. He disliked Lee and I gave that attitude back.

  • I saved Duck and fed him etc, I also tended to side with him because I hated Larry and lilly by association. In the meatlocker I sided with Kenny again. For the rest of the game he was basically always on my side so it worked out that we were good friends throughout.

  • had kennys back and he had mine.. came with me to find clem, agreed with him most of the time, kenny died saving christa.

  • Agreed to help me find Clem, and called me "pal" most of the time.Died trying to save Ben.Screw Lily,Kenny is my bro.

  • Kenny is nothing but a cold, callous, selfish murderer. He left Lee to die at the dairy - would have happily let that St. John blow Lee's face off!

    Thankfully Lilly had my back.

  • We were best friends...

  • The beginning of episode 3 is where he showed his true colors.
I don't care how much he hates Lee, but not helping him when he had that walker on top of him was low.
People that only have your back when you agree with everything they say and do are not worth the effort.

Maybe even worse, even if they are the best of friends, Kenny uses what Lee decided to do with the girl being attacked to win an argument with Lilly.
Way to have my back there Kenny.

He's an asshole, even before he loses his family. Plain and simple.

  • Same here.

  • Even if your best friends with Lilly she still gives away your secret and then abandons you in the RV(if you don't abandon her)

I supported Kenny in most cases. I saved his son, supported him against Larry, looked after his family at every chance, I was honest with him all the time, when he was fighting with Lily, I remained neutral (as I tried to be in good terms with her as well, until she shot Carley) I sided with Lily in the meat locker situation. He got kinda pissed at me after that. I calmly argued with him to stop the train and supported him when he lost his wife and kid. These are the major things I remember. Basicly I sided with him most of the time.
Towards the end we had a up and down kind of friendship, but he said there were times where I wasn't there for him but I always supported his family and still considered me as a friend. He came to find Clementine with me and died defending Ben from the zombies. Kenny.. He was my bro. I missed him.

  • Tru bro

  • Lilly fact:She's a Bitch

  • I did everything except help him kill Larry and drop Ben. From episode 2 on he just snapped at me, fought with me, and refused to help me look for Clementine by claiming that I wouldnt do the same if the situations were reversed which was not true. Lee put himself in front of a gun twice to save Katjaa and Duck. His tunnel vision is so amazingly narrow and unfair it just made me hate him from then on.

  • Lee is nothing but a cold, callous, selfish murderer. He left Kenny to die at the meat locker - would have happily let that Larry bite Lee's face off!

    Thankfully Kenny had his back.

....I don't mean any of that, but hey, turnabout's fair play.

  • Why does everyone think you have to do everything kenny wants you to do to be on your side.

Guys, the only things you need to do to get kenny's bro speech at the end of ep.4 are those. Save and protect duck in ep1, kill larry ep2, and convince larry with words into stopping the train in ep3.

....Or atleast from as much as I can figure. What I know for sure is that you can still defend/vote for Ben at Crawford and save him.

Kenny and I were on pretty good terms for most of the Season, but we had a little rough spot in Episode 3. Got past that LITERALLY just in time for his family to die, lucky us. But at the end, he gave me the bro speech when we needed to find Clem, and was my best friend for all of Season 1. The only things we disagreed on were the food at the end of 2 (I refused to take it) and the woman at the start of 3 (I shot her).

  • Its not just about picking options. Its about the way he talks to you. He is very antagonistic, sarcastic and angry.

  • For the most part, I tried to be a good friend towards Kenny and his family whilst at the same time trying to be neutral in his arguments with Lilly and Larry, but when it came to the matter of helping Kenny kill Larry or attempt to resuscitate him I decided to do the latter out of decency, which briefly strained our relationship and I'll admit, at times he could be a dick even though he was ultimately a good man. I told both him and Katjaa the truth about Lee's past and for that they were honest with my about Duck. When Kenny was in denial about Duck, I was able to convince him to stop the train by talking him down as a friend and when he and Katjaa were torn between who should put Duck down, I offered to do so instead so that neither of them would have to bear the burden and ultimately did so when Katjaa committed suicide. In Savanna, when it became aparrent that Ben had been responsible for the attack on the Motor Inn and Kenny had wanted to leave him behind, I instead chose to save his life and again our relationship became strained for a brief while. Despite this, when Clementine went missing and Lee was bitten, I was able to convince Kenny that even though I may not have had his back on every matter, I'd always been there for his family and so he accompanied me along with everyone else to help find her. Ultimately we resolved our issues and forgave each other, remaining true bros until the very end.

  • I never really noticed that, then again we were bros. I mean, if someone saves my life 3 times (like Kenny did in my playthrough) I'm willing to forgive them for being sarcastic or angry.

  • He only does that if you go against him in ths meat locker. Which i did but regret it. I only did it for Clem's sanity

  • There was no evidence Larry was dead; Lilly was performing life saving CPR, and with Lee's help, she could have revived him. Why should me choosing to help save someone's life be an excuse for him to leave me to die?
