So to you a romance must always involve sex? That is what a romance is all about you? If not then you haven't really payed a lot of attention, my friend.
What romance? The most you ever get is a peck on the cheek from Carley shortly before she gets her brains blown out. Lilly never offers anythi… moreng more than being nicer to you if you didn't smash Larry's head in, without anything romantic necessarily being there.
And to you a romance is a peck on the cheek and someone not treating you like shit? That's pretty low standards. Most of Carley's interactions with Lee (aside from the kiss on the cheek) could easily be seen as no more than friendship, and the same goes for Lilly.
Carley came closest to a 'romance' and it was obvious where it was leading in Episode 3, but it never got there due to Carley losing a good chunk of her skull shortly thereafter. Lilly could be read either way. Whichever way you go, there is nothing we saw in Lee's friendly interactions with Lilly and Carley...aside from the kiss...which would have been age inappropriate if they had been interacting with Clem.
I suspect if Clem were 18, you would currently be speaking of the budding romance between Clem and Luke due to the dinner table scene.

Exactly. Lee's relationship with Carley was mostly friendship and mutual attraction. There's no reason something like that couldn't happen with Clem if she encountered another kid around her age.

Agreed, it was more like "I trust you" in a "friend" kind of way.
There is a whole other thread about this... and there are actually people supporting Luke x Clem...
For her complicated character I can say it was much more than a friendship or at least it was going to be if she stayed with Lee.
where's Chris Hansen when you need him.
