Ask the Community: What are some of your most memorable moments of TWD season 1?

Mine would be every last moment of the game. I like these stories reminds me of Days of our lives except with Zombies. There's drama, love, violence etc. 10/10

  • Kenny's Sacrifice: I was 50/50 about kenny. his personality and his "Getting things done" approach didint fare well with me, However his decisons fared well with what i wanted. i Knew Duck was not bitten, I Killed larry, I shot duck, I left lilly, i killed the boy and I killed ben. as a result he came with me in episode 4 at first i was thinking "No. he just going to slow us down. Christa and omid are with me...." But in episode 5..... that all changed. he went down there and risked his life for a woman he (Most of the time) Disagreed with. Hero? or just dumb? In my books, Kenny is a good freind

  • I like Kenny too

There are so many good scenes. Any of the group member's deaths were really powerful... Walking away from the St. John brothers felt much better than killing them, too... And, of course, the final parting scene.

But I'm gonna go with: Lee getting bitten. I instantly went through the five stages of grief in about 15 seconds as Lee was holding his arm.

    1. Denial: "What the--? No, no! That didn't happen! No!"
    2. Anger: "GODDAMNIT TELLTALE!"
    3. Bargaining: "Please, maybe if I reload a save and check the trash instead of the walkie talkie, as was my original intention, I can save him! I promise to be more careful in the future!"
    4. Depression: "..."
    5. Acceptance: "Okay. Time to find Clementine." [Show them the bite]

It was such a small moment, lasting 20 seconds in all, but Fennoy's voice acting and your entire relationship with Clementine transformed it from a simple zombie bite to something so much worse and so much better.

    1. Dinner- I genuinely felt sick during this scene. It was so intense that I had to stop the game and give myself a moment. I loved the tension it carried out until the ending of the episode.
    2. Larry's death- As soon as Kenny dropped that salt lick on Larry, I hated him. I then sided with Lilly at every point in the game. It's memorable how one event can make me hate a character so much.
    3. Carley's death- Probably one of the most shocking moments in the season. I was dumbfounded, and left Lilly out on the side of the road.
    4. Dealing with Duck- I think this scene was the first in the game to get me teared up. Everything was somber in this scene, and the writing was fantastic. I loved the inclusion of Chuck during the scene; he's barely a member of the group, yet he is also able to take part in the mourning. It was also the scene where I returned to my friendship with Kenny as much as I could.
    5. Ending of episode 3- If it was up to me, I would've had the game end right here. It's a perfect mix of happy and somber while Lee and Kenny reminisce about how bad everything has gotten to since the motel. Clem's second theme playing here was my favorite track of the whole game.
    6. Lee getting bit- Not much needs to be said here. I was outright appalled by my favorite character in the game getting the bite. Thoroughly depressed, I whizzed past the dialogue choices after and was surprised when I got the whole group to come with me. This cued me nearly going on every thread in the forums, posting and hoping that Lee would make it.
    7. Kenny's sacrifice- At this point, I put away my shaky past with Kenny and outright wanted him to survive. I shed tears as soon as he closed the gate and put Ben out of his misery. Looking back on it, Kenny was my third favorite character after Lee and Clem, and one of the few characters who had a near perfect character arc. This is why I don't want him back in season two. Alive, at least. He got a heroic death deserving of his character.
    8. Lee's death- I don't think I've ever shed enough tears in a video game- hell, in any type of fiction before. As Lee was dying, it concurrently put me both in his his shoes saying goodbye to Clem, as well as me bidding farewell to my favorite character that I controlled since episode one. I remember being outright depressed for the rest of the day after his death.
  • These are some great moments. Hope we have more amazing moments in Season 2 :)

  • I still think the dairy scene was one of the best Kenny: Lee you know how to pick locks right? Lee: No! Why would you think that?! Kenny: Because you're... You know... "Urban"? Lee: Oh you are NOT saying what i think you're saying!

  • It brought a refreshing comedic relief moment during all the seriousness
