An end?

edited December 2013 in The Walking Dead

Hey guys.

I was just thinking.. Is there even a possible end for this?
The only thing i can think of is that clementine is going to end up dead.
Maybe they find a big survivors group and join them. ( like in the tv series, the town)
But that wouldn't make any sence to me, because it always ends up bad anyway.
And it would not be a nice end to me, they walk in a little town and they are save for ever.

finding a cure, nah. I dont think a girl of 11 will find a cure with her new group.

  1. Clementine will end up dead. ( BAD ENDING )
  2. They find a safe place with alot of people ( BAD ENDING )
  3. Finding a cure ( UNREALISTIC ENDING )

So im really wondering what's going to happen.. It's just my opinion that i find it bad endings.

  • Perfect! Alternative endings ! What about season 3,will all of these ending carry on till season 3?

And for the name of Kenny's Stache why is **finding a safe place with a lot people ** is concired bad?

  • The only way for there to be truly variable endings rather than our choices simply shaping the characters themselves would be for Season 3 to be about entirely different people. There's a reason TWD has been linear so far.

  • Clementine doesn't have to die for her story to end. She could simply become someone similar to Molly- living alone but highly capable.

  • If this is the final season, I would love to see alternative endings that make use of all your choices across both seasons. Those choices will determine what kind of ending you get, in some way that I have yet to figure out. Also, Woodbury was a safe place with a lot of people, but it was ruled by a madman: The Governor. I think we can all agree that there is no truly safe place in The Walking Dead, so I doubt it will end like that.

  • Problem with this genre and really why the walking dead was made is that in a zombie story if anyone lives people just want to know what happens next. So really i'm not sure how to end the story

Alternate endings are probably the best way to go. Something like Beyond Two Souls where you actually have choice over which ending you pick.

The player could be put in a position like Kenny was and you get the option to go out in a heroic sacrifice or continue on alive, though it may cause someone else's death.

Later on you might have the choice between two groups, and it ends with the main character at that point walking off with their chosen group.

Maybe it ends on a cliffhanger; the main character becomes trapped behind a jammed door. Following stairs downwards, they light a match, and instantly a group of walkers is revealed behind them, attracted to the light. Knowing the zombies are there, the protagonist doesn't look at them, instead just exhales deeply, fed up, and says something like "Here we go." or "fuck." We see them raise their signature weapon one last time then dive into the sea of walkers.

  • Lol season 3 with different people wouldn't even be the same TWD we know and love. They might as well put a different title for it! I want Clementine!

A potentially poignant ending they could do would be to mirror Season 1's ending and have Clem venture into an extremely dangerous and hostile situation to save someone very dear to her. Only this time, both she and the other person make it out of there alive, thereby showing that Clem has not only learned from Lee's example of selflessness and heroism but has also surpassed him by surviving what he could not.

  • I'd be happy as hell with a finale like that...assuming that "someone" won't be Sarah.

I'd like it to be a guardian figure for Clem. Someone like Christa would be ideal, assuming she's still alive. Building on the theme of redemption from Season 1, maybe saving this other guardian figure will let Clem get over her guilt and finally forgive herself for indirectly causing Lee's death.

I actually think Alvin would be more appropriate for that kind of role - IF he lives long enough to see episode 5.

  • Yh I know what you mean .Let's just say:

"Clem and possible other survivors get out of a fucked situation but they forgot about the walkers. So like they triumph over whatever might happen in ep5 and they lose to many with only two survivor -did they arrive to wellington ?MAYBE- when they arrive to there destination BANG they see something in the horizon .The look on there faces -what that might be- Clem says:OH SHIT and possible survivor with her will reply with a smile on hisface: let's do this.

    ENDING

    BTW THAT PERSON IS KENNY

  • I just see the ending for season two being Clem walking in the snow all alone- void of any innocence and morality that she previously had.

  • Wasn't Telltale planning on introduce a boy around Clem's age?

No, a romance story would be the least we need (unless it's extremely one sided, I've always wanted to reject someone in these type of games for once).

  • Lee wakes up from the car wreck and realizes this was all a dream and Clementine never existed...

  • no, no, and NO! that would be the worst ending ever. We need Clementine and we need some explanation!

  • Why it would be awesome comparing to the shit we've seen in ep.6 they need to do something to change the atmosphere of the game

  • "You're the Clementine of my ey-"

    "Your father kidnapped me"
