I'm calling it: Telltale is going to pull a "Sophia" on Kenny

edited December 2013 in The Walking Dead

All the signs just seem to be pointing in that direction. Between the more hard-assed attitude Telltale is taking with season 2 and Kirkman's philosophy that EVERYTHING always has to turn out for the worst, this is the most probable outcome. Let's not forget that Sophia, like Kenny, is another character whose fate was left undetermined for seven whole episodes of the television show before AMC finally pulled the trigger:

I'm sure all the Kenny-haters out there (or just the fans who think he should have been killed in season 1) will squeal with glee when we find Kenny in a similar situation, but for those of us who have been teased and goaded with the possibility of Kenny's return - Nick in episode 1, Clem's "I thought you were dead" line in episode 2 - it won't come across as a "daring" move, just a predictable and disappointing one.

  • It wouldn't even be realistic for his walker form to be there, so showing him as a walker would not only be disappointing and a waste of potential, it would also throw in the question why of all the possible reasons he ended up roaming into the same direction Clem, Omid and Christa went. If they have to show Kenny as a walker, they should at least show him as a survivor first and then make him turn.

  • Called it.

  • I'm a Kenny fan. And I think that he's alive and if he's not, I honestly think telltale will do a good job of having him as a walker. I most likely will not think of it as disappointing. No point being butthurt.

  • Personally I think there is no good way of bringing Kenny back. Kenny either comes back as a walker, or he comes back and dies later. Either way, Die-hard-Kenny-fans will be mad.

  • If he's alive i just hope they don't off him in the same episode.

  • Speculation past the point of fact or obtained knowledge is mere assumption, and thus irrelevant to any real details. If you do happen to be right; consider it luck and try not to boast about something you completely guessed on.

  • There is no way Kenny would turn into a walker especially in the Ben Death because if he was caught and attacked there'd be nothing left to turn, like Tdog in the tv series

I'm not boasting about anything. I'm just offering my 2 cents on where one particular plot thread is liable to go, judging from how stories are often resolved in the WALKING DEAD universe.

No shit. That's what we do here all the time. If we didn't, this forum would be pretty empty.

  • i would like to know either way what happened to him. I hope he's alive though.

  • Maybe put notes and such indicating that he made it and they find his camp and everything but at the end they find his corpse (zombie or not) wouldn't be a bad idea either.

  • I wouldn't mind seeing a thread or two that held value once in a while. Not that this thread doesn't, but I wish people added more input to the game that isn't just broad theory. Sure, everyone makes threads like this-- that's why I'm questioning the purpose. What's the purpose of perpetually creating threads that all hold the same contents and theories, when we could actually be talking about facts.

  • they might go back to Savannah personly i want him alive maybe as a future protagonist
