Yes, according to the unused audio files she was supposed to lose at the river and with Sam finding it. I don't know why Telltale scrapped that idea

I think that they removed the hat in the episode 4 slide so we could see what she was doing better. I mean the peak of the hat would block out most of her face otherwise.
They use that affect on her when she is blackmailing Rebecca at the tab;e. Talk about sinister.
That why we need kenny in episode 2 so he can teach her how to glue her hat just like him XD
